AID CAMPAIGNS CONTINUE FOR FLOOD VICTIMS

The aid campaign launched by the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce for flood victims in Guzelyurt continues. Following the distribution of the first consignment of relief goods sent to the region by the Chamber, the second consignment of aid - heaters, beds, puffs, blankets, sheets, white goods and carpets – has been sent to the region.

According to the information obtained from the Chamber, the aid campaign is being broadly supported by business circles. All kinds of needs of the flood victims of the Guzelyurt Region are being met through the aid campaigns launched by the government and private business sectors.

Yesterday, the Guzelyurt Social Services Department distributed beds, puffs, blankets, heaters and packages of food to flood victims.

The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Turkay Tokel said that efforts are underway to heal the wounds of the flood disaster at the end of a tour to the region.

Minister of Interior and Local Administrations Ilkay Kamil, Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports Kemal Durust and Minister of Finance Ersin Tatar also held inspections at the Guzelyurt Ataturk Sport Center – the point where all donations were collected and distributed.

Speaking during the visit, Mr Tatar expressed his satisfaction over the sensitivity shown by businesspersons to the flood disaster in Guzelyurt, adding that the TRNC government is working hard to heal the wounds of the victims.
Also speaking, Mr. Kamil said that necessary support will also be provided to the owners of work places which were damaged by the floods.

Things are bound to get nasty the over the next few weeks, dont expect everyone to take things lying down....people will start to get hurt and neither side is going to like how things develop but never forget what started the troubles this time around. After 7 years of non violence things are about to change well done you must feel real proud, the first target will imo be the GC lawyer.

As Bananiot says, when the partionists get worried and upset its usually a good sign. Has everyone however missed the fact that VP (spokesperson of fascist partitionists on this forum) has launched a fatwa on Cypriot lawyers?

What next? An intifada on Cypriot dentists?

And by the way this thread about my hometown sucks. I urge everyone to refrain from sending any money until my town is returned to its owners.

P.S Skipreo, en klotsies pou theleis.

I think Admin should ban Viewpoint. He is seriously deranged and will use this forum to incite violence on innocent individuals. He would be arrested for this in the UK.

Do you think that remarks like :

The "TRNC" is a jungle and those living there like Viewpoint, wild animals. (Malapapas), is acceptable.

Its ok for GCs to insult and incite, and when you get a response you all cry foul.

Shame on you all.

Considering that with each pay package of the public workers has to be ripped out of turkey's wallet each month, do you really think this is wise?

I've asked before and had no response. What is the damage? I believe my house was extremely sturdy and do not think it collapsed so would have protected the occupants quite well in the flood.

Don't you think I've given the most of all of you TC's to these people?

I'd be a little more sympathetic if you people hadn't tried to pin it on the evil GC's who intentionally caused the flooding.

So...any word on the location of the assets of the boat owners? :-D
