There will be plenty more where that came from. Don't expect Eroglu to play by the Queensberry rules, what?

I do not expect that. However, I do not think that they can get away with this sort of crude, blatantly false propaganda nowadays, thank goodness. Good to see you back here, by the way, old fruit.

Tim, what did you expect from the original TMT man. There are plenty who will believe him and that's all he needs. If Muhtar X has any sense, he would have him go through a metal detector every time they meet.
Thanks for your kind remarks by the way old chap, what?

Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Dervis Eroglu, said Tuesday directing flood waters from the Greek Cypriot side to the TRNC's regions of settlements was an inhuman behaviour.

Prime Minister Eroglu and an accompanying delegation of ministers visited the Guzelyurt region and observed the disaster caused by the flood waters that came from the Greek Cypriot administration side.

Speaking live on the Bayrak Television (BRT), Eroglu said that the TRNC faced a great disaster.

We are working to alleviate the pain of our people and to minimize the damage, Eroglu said.

Unfortunately, many homes were filled with mud and water. Many people do not have a place to sleep in, Eroglu said.

A committee is working to determine the amount of damage that was made by flood waters. A meeting to assess the situation will take place in Lefkosa in the afternoon, Eroglu said.

There is a great amount of damage that was made by flood waters in Guzelyurt. Humans in the region are in a state of panic, Eroglu said.

I thank our troops and other personnel for their efforts to help those affected by flood waters, Eroglu also said.

AA

DOn't panic, its only the island trying to spit these settlers out.

Also known as 'self-CATHARSIS'.

I hope it is selective. :?

From Kibris Postasi - Hasan Hasturer:

Translation:

On the evening of the 18th January 2010, while the 'disaster' was still ongoing, without any foundation, it was said that, "the dams on the Greek side were opened".

The next day we, as a Havadis journalist went to the disaster area.

We noticed that a few people were given the duty to repeat this allegation.

We listenned with interest, and I could not help but asked politely 'oh really(acaba?)?'.

When it was seen that the allegation that the dams 'watergates' were opened held no water (pun intended) the story changed. They said , 'when the dams were nearly full, we should have been informed'.

Later we investigated and found out that there were NO dams in the ASTROMERIT area. This was also confirmed by none other than the ex-Water Works Manager, the current UBP mayor of Lefka, Mehmet Zafer.

I have no comments to make.

And so we find out it's nothing more than your leaders suffering from 'water in the brain' ...

Considering that TCs are free to walk across and visit the dams, they can see whether or not millions of cubic feet of water were or were not released. It would take a whole dam to do this much damage, and is obviously not likely that valuable water would have been wasted on such bullshit moves.

But that is beside the point, obviously the TC authorities have done nothing at all to manage the land. My grandfather's village is in the occupied area right in the path of the waters, two miles from Astromeritis. A network of ditches and canals, most of them my grandfather's work, protected this lowland area from flooding and channeled the water to the Sarafis river catchment. How come that nework did not work this time? Has the catchment ever been cleares since 1974?
