Eroglu said directing flood waters from the Greek Cypriot side to the TRNC's regions of settlements was an inhuman behaviour.

Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Dervis Eroglu, said Tuesday directing flood waters from the Greek Cypriot side to the TRNC's regions of settlements was an inhuman behaviour.

Prime Minister Eroglu and an accompanying delegation of ministers visited the Guzelyurt region and observed the disaster caused by the flood waters that came from the Greek Cypriot administration side.

Speaking live on the Bayrak Television (BRT), Eroglu said that the TRNC faced a great disaster.

We are working to alleviate the pain of our people and to minimize the damage, Eroglu said.

Unfortunately, many homes were filled with mud and water. Many people do not have a place to sleep in, Eroglu said.

A committee is working to determine the amount of damage that was made by flood waters. A meeting to assess the situation will take place in Lefkosa in the afternoon, Eroglu said.

There is a great amount of damage that was made by flood waters in Guzelyurt. Humans in the region are in a state of panic, Eroglu said.

I thank our troops and other personnel for their efforts to help those affected by flood waters, Eroglu also said.

so it rained in the south and not in the north? what next will they blame our side for?!? how stupid are they? so many houses where flooded in the south and cars stuck so they think it did not rain in the north? it was just as bad and they find it to blame the south.. what idiots

Have you heard of damns? the Gcs opened the damn gates flooding a big part of Guzelyurt.

I haven't heard of "damns" in the context of water, but I have heard of dams!

The dam was not opened, it overflowed, unfortunately we have not been in a position to provide protection to Morphou when this happens.

Was that one of the clauses in the new Akritas-Crap plan?

I think it's pretty fair to say that nobody will be needing Turkey's "pipeline" for water!

Vote Eroglu! He will blame the Greek Cypriots for the weather.

Let it rain, I say.

Surely with the backing of the GO church, you can include it as a clause in the new Akritas-Crap plan.
