It's Turkey's economy, which will collapse. That is the bulls-eye ...

You know so little about Turkey,it is really laughable...
Turkey' economy is one of the last in the world to collapse...You know why??? Because it is largely a black market economy, outside the reach of global economic forces...

I rest my case ... 8)

What are you gonna do? Get the peasants to look under their mattresses for money to buy jets to attack neighbours?

So if Turkey has such a good economy why did it and still does it ,send thousands of it`s poor settlers to Cyprus to live in Gc homes and take over Gc buissneses... thats not looking after its own thats called stealing!!! if there so rich then they can afford to ship them all back and support them!!

With such a default strategy, we have nothing to worry about.

Onwards and upwards for the rest of us ....

I didn't say Turkey's economy is good...I said it is very resilient...And the presence in Cyprus of the settlers is not due to economic need...They are better Turks and beter Moslems compared to the dreaded indiginous TCs...They are on a special mission...

Can I thank all for their kind words above but must say that it was a team effort with me leaning against a wall smoking and typing into a smart phone the news that Jerry and Milti were gathering and bringing back as they circulated amongst the crowd talking and listening to people. A real team effort folks.

Awesome citizen journalism, chaps. Seriously good stuff.

Sure. A solution needs to be found where people's rights to their property is respected - or else someone will get there arse sued. Now what?

Now we have to wait and see how this judgement reflects on the negotiations and on the political landscape...If I am right in my misgivings it will make agreeing to a solution more difficult... :(

Why more difficult? Is Turkey now less likely to agree a solution where people's rights to their property is respected?

I have tried to explain my reasons,MP,but as usual you want to simplify everything...this time simplify it to people's right to property...I understand the Turkish mentality a bit better than you,I think... But,I was perhaps wrong to issue a warning on such a euphoric day! I hope one day I won't have to say "I told you so" !

Not sure why you would want to discourage any Cypriot from pursuing justice. Unless securing it will upset a bully who might lash out. This is no reason not to do so.
