Nothing will chnage this will blow over and the TRNC property developers will sell to other countries, full stop.

Are you really this thick? Or just in denial? Who from outside Europe is going to risk buying property in northern Cyprus? Even if you tried to flog off Greek-owned property to a few Israelis with no assets in Europe, how far would that sustain your economy? You just never learn. The courts tell you to stop doing something because its illegal and you just want to carry on doing it. You're a bunch of unreformed, compulsive, serial criminals. The lot of you.

Besides, the "TRNC" economy is going to go down the pan now. Who is going to invest in the "TRNC" now? Any companies or individuals with assets in Europe will in future be at risk from judgements in the ROC courts and risk claims against assets in Europe. And we haven't even started going after Turkish assets in Europe yet. It's over, mate. The 'TRNC" was effectively sentenced to death today. Your criminal days are over. You're going to have to make an honest living now. Let's see if you can manage it...
They are above the law because they are OUTSIDE the law!! All the time money obsessed pensioners looking for a fast buck in a dodgy illegal North Cyprus more thieves will sell of land owned by displaced Greek Cypriots. How many landowners (legal ones that is) are in the North? Perhaps they, the Orams could find a nice little villa in the Baghdad outskirts of perhaps Helmand Province in Afghanistan for an investment. - Appeal why!!! Cherie Bliar.... WHy!!!!

Can I thank all for their kind words above but must say that it was a team effort with me leaning against a wall smoking and typing into a smart phone the news that Jerry and Milti were gathering and bringing back as they circulated amongst the crowd talking and listening to people. A real team effort folks.

Well done guys. Superb work.

Shit Bill, I've just scanned and copied 5 pages to keep K's blood pressure down and see that you have already obliged. I've been up since 6.00am, I'm off to bed, leave a message if you want me to copy some pages tomorrow.

PS even the effing underground was on the blink when I left you, I had to get a bus and then missed the train home by 30 seconds. Bit of a shit day for a piece of paper but at least Mr A supplied some free pop!

Perhaps, but the RoC had nothing to lose as this was an open-and-shut case that was just going to take time to win...

If I was the Orams I wouldn't be holding my breath that compensation and legal fees will now be met by Turkey.

This was determined before therefore the TRNC plus Turkey will meet costs, but I still feel that the procedure that follows will not be as simple or open and shut as you think, the road is still very long and full of frustrating twists and turns. The plaintiff will still not have his land back and without a solution he never will.

You're forgetting that the Orams live, draw their pension and have bank accounts and assets where the rule of law applies.

According to TONC, which doesn't recognise the RoC or its judgements, the land still belongs to the Orams. So how can it stop them? What is Talat going to do? Get Turkey's army to invade it?

Don't be silly. Of course the TRNC could stop the Orams from demolishing the house just as it would be illegal to demolish a property in the UK without permission. It may be the same in south Cyprus too. The Orams will obviously ask for permission which if not granted would make demolishing the property illegal , a situation which would probably suit them.

You mean there are planning laws in TONC?
