I just find it strange how some people enjoy hearing about these kind of news, yet they are the ones who need turkey in the E.U more than anyone else but Raf in particular takes immense pleasure from being the bearer of bad news where the turks are concerned imo.

So, where is the problem Brother?
I grew up in a country where freedom of speech is not prohibited, like some other neighbor countries

...and yes, Turkey has no place in Europe if she doesn't learn how to respect human rights, if she doesn't withdraw her army from a european territory that illegaly occupies etc.

Human rights respect you say, so when will the ROC respect the rights of tc and stop using Turkey as the exscuse to deny it? But i guess E.U membership has taught you nothing yet, has it.

Probably you didn't realize what happened in 1974, who's occuping a foreign country against international laws, who's violating the human rights of the Gcs but the Tcs as well.

I have learnt much but you are the one with this utmost hate for the turks which imo makes you unbalanced.
The TC human rights are being violated in the caretaker goverment of the ROC, any tc who lives in the south has no voting rights(violation 1) any tc who has property in the south and is its citizen cannot sell or live in their property(violation 2) the ROC claims to represent the whole island but no TC in goverment(violation 3) would you like to retort that Turkey denies you the right of return blah blah blah, well two wrongs do not make a right.
Hence if you see us as your brother's or fellow cypriots why do you choose to punish us by denying our human rights that you so strongly advocate for yourselves.

the way i see it is the only way the TC representation is seen in the south is by using turkish as an official language (from legal documents such as passports to cigarette warning labels).

Every country who is a candidate for EU membership is supposed to be treated equally, I can't see that happening at the moment!!

Which other country is illegally occupying another country who forms part of European territory? Which other country is preventing people living in their towns and villages based purely on their ethnicity? Which other country has not come to terms with its genocide of entire ethnic groups? Which other country has a human rights record like Turkey? Turkey has o be treated differently because its like no other country. I expect that many thingswill be infact overlooked now that GB has the presidency.

This could really lead to problems AA! Do not tell me that all the countries have better human rights records than Turkey! Every country has a bad human rights records, don't tell me that all the countries in the world are angels but Turkey!! Because that is totally NON-SENSE!! I am still waiting for a source that I can purely believe on that so called genocide you are talking about!!And why isn't the whole of EU on us if we are illegally occupying the part of EU territory?? As much as I know the EU countries are suppose to support another member if that country is illegally occupied or under attack!!

true point. Turkey ((* you must understand that just becasue everyone else is doing it it does not make it ok. so shoul cyprus invade a country and just say- dont worry they are doing it to us.
