PUBLIC SURVEY SHOWS TALAT WILL SLIGHTLY WIN ELECTIONS

Postby halil » Sat Jan 16, 2010 10:28 pm

Latest public survey on the TRNC Presidential elections and the solution of the Cyprus problem brings the result that 25 % of people joining the survey would prefer to vote for Mehmet Ali Talat as the President where for Dervis Eroglu the amount is 22 %.

Yet, 45 % of the people did not prefer answering the question on who to vote for in the presidential elections.

The survey was carried out by the Management Centre upon a request by the main opposition the Republican Turkish Party-United Forces and the results were announced at a press briefing held today.

CTP Secretary-General Kutlay Erk said the results of the survey do not actually draw the absolute conclusion.

He also expressed his party’s determination towards working for the establishment of a federation where the bi-zonal and bi-communal structure, and political equality of the two sides will not be diluted.

The public survey shows that 29 % of the TC's is in favour of a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation in Cyprus and 24 % wants a confederation to be based on the existence of two separate independent states.

19 % supports the international recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus where 4 % chooses to go for integration with Turkey.

The survey also proves that the support of the TC People for a settlement on the basis of the Annan Plan has decreased.

If another referendum would take place on the Annan Plan today, TC's would reject it with 33 %.
28 % would approve the Plan where 35 % would not even choose to go to the polls.

Hmmm that's encouraging news....

Regardless, do you have any news how Turkey will move regarding these elections? Do you think they will just let things take their way?

That doesn't matter in an illegal election. The result can been fixed as necessary.

I have yet to decide but that is not the point like you dead and lost corpse leader papaidoitolpolus he will not even go to the negotiating table, then you will have no one to negotiate with, only then will you understand the difference between President Talat and Prime Minister Eroğlu.

Yes, ok K, you are of course quite right, illegal elections with an illegal Settler electorate....

But leaving that aside, has something changed? As posted above we were promised Errorgluey was a sure certain winner and Talat was a no hoper.

VP what's behind this? What's your interpretation?
