How I would see a unitary Cypriot State vs partiton.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I prefer Repulse Warrior's boring manifesto than this... Where is he anyway?

Deepen thoughts on progress.
Enlighten yourselves or prepare for doom.
Fly high and inspire your thoughts.
Innovate and energise.
New ideas will win the day.
If risks are taken your futures will improve.
Teach your children to love their neighbours.
Effervescence is better than despair.
Love me do.
Your children deserve the answers.

And in the end there was peace.

Freedom is better than imprisonment.
Useless leaders provide useless solutions.
Christofias has to toughen up.
Kiss and all will be well.
Inspiration is better than perspiration.
No more heroes anymore.
Gelling is better than smelling.

Willingness is required from all.
Each Cypriot must engage for the nation.
Insipid thinking must be cast aside.
Reach out for the winning line.
Decode to decipher.
Of all the stooges he is the one.

Once an uncivilized Ottoman pirate, always an uncivilized Ottoman pirate!

War aside, there’s nothing “forced” in this day and age you nincompoop!

I wanted to get some views on both options and how I think it could be done. I know that a few of you here are questioning my motives as to why I came up with a unitary state plan (namely a couple of folk I swore that I would never again directly respond to). It was actually some of the more "debatable" GC's who gave me the suggestion to keep ones options open and look for palatable alternatives. True, I still personally support partition as being the best option (so long as it is agreed partition and that no other country messes things up for either side), but if a unitary state in Cyprus is the only answer (because I don't think federation is the right answer IMHO), at least my "plan" gives GC's what they want (a single state with democracy in the form of the House of Representatives), and TC's what they want (an equal say in the government - via the senate - and not having any chance of the intercommunal conflict re-erupting - through the good offices of the EU).

If Lana deciphered the message, I wonder if she'd delete the whole post or just the incriminating letters?

Like it or lump it will not work.
A unitary state is an absolute necessity.
No Turkish troops in Cyprus!
A stitch in time saves nine.

We shall not be moved.
Insist on one person one vote.
Love is in the air.
Leeches are bloodsuckers.

No divisions on the island.
Every Cypriot is equal.
Vast thoughts bring vast benefits.
Enter the dragon.
Reasonable attitudes will prevail.

Gone are the days of war and strife.
Empathy above apathy.
Two tribes should not go to war.

Individualism above community division.
To understand open your eyes.

Onward to solving the Cyprus Problem.
Realistic thinking is what is needed.
Acceptable solutions are hard to find.
Cyprus is an international problem.
Let's think about all the options.
Every person on this forum should be able to do this.

Put all options on the table.
Living peacefully should be the final goal.
Every Cypriot deserves that.
After all options are carefully considered, decide.
Settle the differences between the communities.
Exact no retribution, only reconciliation.

Comments, not abuse, are needed in this debate.
Help everyone to see the good and bad points of all options.
Is partition, federation, confederation, or unitary state the only choices here?
Let us all be constructive, not confrontational.
Leave those who favor conflict behind as we strive for a satisfactory solution.
