Can I walk to supermarket?!

Postby bobbins » Sat Jan 16, 2010 9:26 pm

Hi all, I am new to this but would really like some info on staying in Coral Bay if possible. We have booked to stay in a villa in sea caves area but have never been before and would like to know how close we are to supermarkets etc. ie is there anywhere within walking distance!!!!

well, u will defo need a car, sea caves isnt really in coral bay its bit further up, that means every time u go to super market or out for any thing within coral bay irea u`ll bay aroun 10 euros if not more and bwy 25 euros to go down town,, thw taxi`s here are a big rip off, u better of rentin out little car, u will save lots of money and u`ll get to explore lots of beautiful places

u can get 4 seaters car, 1.3 engin, for about 25euro aday.. u don need a car everyday tho, cause if u like to take the bus, it cast i think less than 2 euros, and bus stations every where in coral bay, tho u cant relly depend on them to go out at night.. dont u worryabout all of that , it is truelly beautiful in sea caves irea, if u have a private pool "witch i think it is in every holiday villa" u wont need to go any where unless u wanna "eat, drink, go the beach and go out" :D :D

Thanks for that. Looked into car hire but seems pretty expensive to pick up from airport. Can you just hire from somewhere from day to day? Really just to get big shopping in to stock up fridge/freezer then hopefully spend rest of time lounging by pool :)

one of my friends girlfriend works ina car hire just before coral bay and i also know a cypriot lady who have a car hire office in coral bay, if u tell me when u comin i can ask them what cars are availble and how much is it per day ..

u also gotta know that u cant hire a car for a day its menimum 3 days.. manual or automatic!!

u only pay the rent rate and pay for ur petrol MOT and insurance are on the car hire place unless of course u will drive of roads or go to the north side of cyprus.. i`ll get back to you tomorrow,
and best way is to contact a taxi office before u come to pick u up from airport
if you 4 ppl or less u`ll pay about 40-45 euros from pafos airport to sea caves if more than 4 i believe it will be about 60, i`ll give u some taxi offices no`s if u want to

Thanks Fig, we aint coming till May. Think we are sorted for airport pick up but prices for car hire would be brill. I can get back to you with address of villa if that would help you in figuring out how far away from things we might be if you didn't mind cos we really aint got much of a clue!!!!!!

Plenty of car hire companies available. Do what I do send out some emails asking for prices, get them back, see who is cheaper, then re-send them out informing the best price is x can you beat it?

Let the auction begin!
