That was a staple diet of many Cypriots, me included, even in the UK. That was a stupid comment.

but nowdays we have mixed villages again and did the gcs kill any of the tcs in this mixed village? they are living fine together they dont need a 40k arrmy troops sitting there its all show for the eu un to pretend they need two states.

Pyle, is not a good example Palio. From what I read, their is constant tension, and often interference/incitement from either the north or the RoC. I am not putting the blame on anyone, but methinks partitionists on either side are playing dirty.

Day to day it looks fine but scratch the surface and you can feel the tension. Even kids try and shoo you off their patch, encouraged by a "their guy" on the hill with a gun. Potamia feels a more relaxed mixed village but it needs more young TCs and GCs to move there. Given the incentives the government is offering you'd have thought more would have taken up the option.
