For GCs to kick Turkey out.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Turkey wont go away even if TC demands are met at the expense of settlers

i think the taking down of both would be good. do you think turkey would even consider removing them if that picture was removed from ledra palace crossing? i cross from there all the time and i barely notice the picture.. i notice them two huge turkey flags even more..

but turkey wouldent even if we made the first move and showed them more goodwill

We would demand it if we felt it was in fact goodwill and not forced handouts like ids and medical treatment.

The Cyprus problem is not about the TCs.

It's about what the GCs have and what Turkey wants ...

That's because your idea of sharing the ISLAND is a partition of north and south as suppose to sharing a COUNTRY. You are not interested in sharing the country of Cyprus as an equal citizen, but only sharing the island of Cyprus as a divided island.!

That would mean ONE country with two federated states. Is that what you meant.??

This time around take the proposal to referendum. am sure talat will agree to if its all about TCs he needs to save he's ass. lets see if they will say F U while the whole world knows the proposal is about them and effectively seal their fate. the key is gatting only pre 74 cypriots to vote on the referendum though

i agree with you but the north is mostly turks they will never agree to a solution that we would. plus talat as we all know is a puppet so i think his stance is to soft for the hard liners and they are going to push him out of power.. turkey needs to be pushed to lighten up and allow a solution that will benefit both tcs and gcs not just one side they have to make comprimise.. not just take take and then demand more.. like for instance remove the flags on the mountains. or something. the whole of the north is two big turkey flags every other building.

Why should we remove it? why dont you remove the pictures of Soloman at the ledra palace crossing?

Does it make you feel guilty every time you pass to see our fine doctors?

there we go again....lets get past all the petty issues, the since you want turkey why dont u stay over there and dont come and work/ use our airports or doctors are tooo petty in this issue.

as rightly pointed out before, the issues is about what turkey wants and wat GCs have. but the only card turkey has is the Tc card. if GCs hold that card no matter how bitter a pill it cost them to swallow am sure it will be worth seeing the seeming 'Almighty Turkey' leave without acheiving its partitionist goals. i support a united cyprus, one state maybe with a lil power sharing formula et al. but a cyprus devoid of external influences.

As regards the flags, the flags on the mountain was put there for the sole purpose of irritating GC. a game well played by turkey, GCs react turkey misinforms TC they hate everything thats TC.

if GC can swallow a bitter pill of given the TC a really good offer am sure the bitterness will immediately become as sweet as honey when turkey finds TCs rallying against settlers and her(turkey) asking to there return to anatolia
