this one is nicer the tc who made it put more thought into it then simply copying a turkish flag

Yeah that took a lot of thought, the island very inventive looks like a splattered egg with knife anf fork from a distance.

Ours is more impressive and clearly visable from great distances as you GC know, just go from strovolos towards nicosia and you will see it at night time even clear as day.

You'll be surprised soon. There's a project thats being worked on now (am very happy to be involved as it was my idea) that may soon make that vulgar revolting scab on Pendadaktylos a thing of the past.

We hope to reveal it in 2010.

This will be intresting to see hwo we get rid of the flags from the mountains. re Dt have you seen the amount of flags they have over there every building has huge flags infront of them. they make the south look like they have no flags.

I would love to be involved in such a project you are lucky :)

We're in the process of getting a few sponsors for this right now. You're welcome to join and help out, it'll get pretty public quite soon we think.

Let us know whatever we can do; no matter how small and insignificant, I would love to help. :D

It was responsible for shocking my son to man's inhumanity and I want it destroyed.

Start a dedicated thread as soon as you can ...

Reconiliation flag: Yellow background for the copper of Cyprus, The map of Cyprus in EU Blue, the white bars standing for non-discrimination both in the north and south, the olive branch still standing for peace....

It does look good when it flies in the breeze, though personally, it should not be playing second fiddle to the Turkish National Flag IMHO...
And as for the RoCy flag:
Image
Not quite as easy to see from a distance, and one I did see on the stern of a Cypriot-flagged freighter coming into San Pedro was rather stained, making the white background look beige, and on most of the pictures of the RoCy flag I see on the internet, I see the flag playing second fiddle to this one:
