had he been able to get a couple of tc's on his side things might have been better for him. The fact that his vision of a republic of northern cyprus without the turkey influence is rejected by even the tc's puts him in an awkward situation.

Basically he is a foreigner that has nothing to do with Cyprus and has managed to be in complete disagreement with 100% of the islands population.
