Turkey's Proposals

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Stay calm...Make equally unacceptable proposals regarding the Turkish-TC red lines (all Turkish soldiers must leave,No guarantee,No TC political majority guarantee etc) and chip away slowly...It is now obvious no solution will be found during Talat's time...So Christofias can take his time and work at getting the best deal he can (least number of settlers allowed, maximum number of refugee return, favourable land adjustment etc) before accepting a compromise solution the TCs/Turkey can live with...But a solution must be agreed to DT...Before too long...ERdogan is not going anywhere(well he will become the next President) in a hurry, and he has no desire really to join the EU...forget the EU pressure hopes, get the best deal you can and sign the deal...Otherwise all Cypriots will loose big time...

once again a very well thought post.

Hello Bir .... happy new year to you and your family ...... enjoyed reading your suggestions ;)

 You're not just a pretty face Kikapopoulos!

I think Turkey will accept annexation by the ROC before you two finish saying "full democracy, human rights, majority rule, and one -vote-one-value....

Bir, not so fast my friend.!

Turkey will need to ban it's flag and fly the RoC flag instead.

There will be no longer a place called Turkey, but only province of Cyprus.

No more article 301.

Cypriots being the minority, they will demand veto power as well as 50% in the senate and a rotating presidency at 3 years-2 years in favour of the majority.

Cypriots will retain 30% of all government jobs as well as 30% representation in the EU.

Veto Power over the majority.

RoC will demand permanent derogation from the EU, or else it's no deal..

RoC will control the money from the oil fields.

"Turkey" will become demilitarized and all the generals will become kebab makers.

Greece will be the only guarantor power to make the Cypriots feel safe.

Kurds will have their own nation.

Istanbul is returned back to it's owners.

Armenian Genocide recognized and territory given back to them.

Cypriot customs and dialect will become supreme in "Turkey".

All NeoPartitionist will be sent to exile.

Lets see Turkey accept these terms, and if they say YES, they will become members of the EU as a province of the Republic of Cyprus through the back door.!

I've got one from the free part of Cyprus.

We propose that we prevent your poor wife being widowed and your poor children being orphaned in case you need emergency medical treatment in the free areas. And it's they who have to reject it not you.

You seem to stuck on this point, did it touch a nerve? you keep raising it. I wouldnt seek medical treatment in Egypt either same thing with the south.

Not particularly. I just think it gives a disturbing insight into your true character which I think is worth highlighting, particularly as you put yourself forward as an average TC.

Stuff and nonsense. Egypt is an age away when you're at death's door.

But you'd rather make your wife a widow, your children fatherless than acknowledge the emergency life-saving abilities of a doctor in the free part of Nicosia. That makes the average TC irredeemably sick in the head. Turkey deserves you.

Since you are a settler I dont believe the free medical service is available to you.

Man you are the one with a big complex, if I were to become ill I would first seek treatment in my own country the TRNC and then seek the best treatment if not available here in Turkey or the UK why the hell would I want to go south? the TCs that do go south are only after free treatment, Turkey has some of the best medical centres and doctors in the world.
