Turkey's Proposals

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Where do you get this stuff from? It's all in your head. The Turks come up with a ludicrous set of proposals which aren't even discussed at the talks never mind rejected. They are too stupid to reject as they fall outside the framework of the agreed talks for a federal solution. The Turkish strategy is so ridiculous and transparent that I'm beginning to think that Viewpoint must be in charge of it. I can't believe that this is the best that Ankara can come up with. Talat must have been embarrassed to hand them over...

...i have a lot of hope for Talat because the man at somepoint will connect as a confrere with Christofias, against their adversaries as one; it is last ditch for him politically, and as a Cypriot for this cause. Turkey will change, a whole revolution will commence if as a Cypriot he succeeds; he knows its bigger than Cyprus, alone (that is to say without Turkey) he can stand as a Statesman.

...so a Treaty of Defense between the Republic of Cyprus and Turkey is not a bad step toward EU membership.

(recognition of the island as a State, for the world card turkey hungers to play)

seems like turkey is preparing more proposals, the turkish FM in a interview stated that turkey has completed and has readied proposals concerning:property,EU,ECONOMY,Land, security gurantees.

http://www.politis-news.com/cgibin/hweb ... V=articles

cant wait to hear these proposals,if there anything like the ones talat just delivered they probably should not even bother.

I think this is a truly golden oppurtunity for the ROC.THey should stop the talks between communities(they are going nowere anyway)and directly negotiate with Turkey.Put them on the spot for what they are, a occupier.

That's what RoC keeps demanding anyway, don't negotiate with TCs as they don't exist GCs want to say.

Matey yes we do, here alive and kicking. If we didn't want the clauses presented as they were we'd be in rebellion right now. Notice any marches of protest! Wake up and smell the Turkish Cypriot coffee.

Stop creating fantasies because you can't handle the reality that you are not to be trusted. If you want a solution sit down at the table and stop grandstanding, compromise for unification or find compromise for partition. If you want to cry to anyone cry to your politicians.

Explain to me then how its in your interest to give out Cypriot citizenship to 70m turks should they wish it?

WHile you're at it explain to me why in a united Cyprus Turkey should have control of the Cypriot EEZ.

You don't march in protest cause you've been put to sleep and you're too weak in numbers to march in protest anymore.
