You know nothing about Cyprus or Cypriots.

I beg to differ! Cyprus is an island in the eastern Mediterranian Sea, and the people living there are called Cypriots. The largest groups of Cypriots are the mean and xenophobic Greek Cypriots and the peace-loving and long-suffering Turkish Cypriots. So There! I know all about it... :P

Wow! You really are learning something.

If you are looking for hypocracy, I guess you should laugh at the Armenia and Azerbaycan situation. Christofias says recognise Armenian genocide yet doesn't criticise UN resolutions for Armenia to pull back from Azeri territory.

On a darker note however for the GCs & TCs that see unification as the goal. If this is the tone the PM of Turkey is willing to set vis-a-vis a power broker in the region, think how willing he will be to appease RoC protests.

Unification!!!!??We are just still alive in order for Turks to understand that Cyprus has nothing to do with them. It would be at least afair Cyprus to be the only stupid area which will remain under Ottomans control.Ottomans sent out of Europe and therefore they have no place in Cyprus.

But the damage has already been done and it is already out there of what Israel said about Turkey. An apology does not erase what was already said. There is a saying "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission". Looks like Israel had exercised that saying with Turkey. !

If Israel still apologizes after what Erdogan had been telling them for nearly a year, I wouldn't really call that a damage.

Wether Israel apologises or not, Turkey has been humiliated.

You are not to sound like blood thirsty, revenge seeking, hateful people...just the opposite,peace-loving,compassionate lovers of humanity....so you can fool the TCs to run into your arms....

Bir, you said it, right on the button.

I am sure they never took to heart the following of Aesop's fables.

The Wind and the Sun
The Wind and the Sun were disputing which was the stronger. Suddenly they saw a traveller coming down the road, and the Sun said: "I see a way to decide our dispute. Whichever of us can cause that traveller to take off his cloak shall be regarded as the stronger. You begin." So the Sun retired behind a cloud, and the Wind began to blow as hard as it could upon the traveller. But the harder he blew the more closely did the traveller wrap his cloak round him, till at last the Wind had to give up in despair. Then the Sun came out and shone in all his glory upon the traveller, who soon found it too hot to walk with his cloak on.

Kindness effects more than severity.
