ROC Proposals

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

ROC Proposals

Postby boulio » Mon Jan 11, 2010 5:42 pm

Why do we always hear about the Turkish/TC proposals(RED LINES) when it comes to the BBF MODEL FOR CYPRUS(Which usually are in the form of a confederation)I dont understand why the ROC Does not take the initiative and formulate there own plan based on UN Resolutions and EU AQUIS and present there own proposal for A BBF MODEL.i KNOW many g/c on the board may be against a BBF but thats whats been negotioted the last 35 years. If the ROC Leadership came out with 10 point plan concerning all aspects of a solution ie secutiy, land, property, governance etc etc,in a BBF MODEL WHAT COULD AND WHAT SHOULD THEY BE?

I was just asking to see why the ROC cannot or will not formulate there own proposals,we had The ROC spokesman reject Talats(Ankara) proposals on Sunday claiming(rightfully)that the proposols are for a confederation model and fail out of UN resolutions and previosly agreed parameters in finding a solution. Why not offer a true democratic federal proposal on all aspects and say"Here you are we the ROC have comprimised for a BBF instead of a unitary state, this is what the BBF Look like"

The positions of the ROC defer from govt to govt. One of the pain's of running your own democracy. The TC positions are dictated by the millitary in Ankara and are unchanging.

I think DT a few corrections, they may differ from ROC govt to the next Roc govt.however the basis should be the same a change here and there will not change a BBF model.

Concerning the T/C /TURKISH demands they are not unchanged they actually get worst every time.

THats why i say that the ROC Should take the initiative and throw down the gaunlet and clerly state this is the BBF WE Propose for a federal solution to cyprus.

we dont need a annan a de soto a downer a hanay and etc to tell us what solution we should have while at the same time catering to turkish demands.

The GCs would never run the risk of making proposals on the off chance they maybe accepted, this show that they are not really intereste din a solution and are just paying lip service to keep you GCs duped silent.
