Sensible replies please
Advice please on my car

I would dearly love to bring my car over to the south side of Cyprus, the thing is I only bought it in August. Can I still bring it over if I still have finance on it? (Payments will still be kept up in the UK, which is not an issue) or could I drive it over from the UK, if so how do I do this once I get to either Athens or Turkey?

If successful what documents do I need for Cyprus? Can I still register it in Cyprus?

Am not sure what to do or more essentially what I’m able to do.

Please advise

Thank you

I think your creditors might be concerned if you took it out of the UK (check your paperwork) ... That's a "sensible reply" even though I haven't got a clue :D

In fear of posting a non sensible reply due to everything being relative, I will withhold my sensible response! 8)

Hello Oracle,

Thank you for your reply, I will take on board what you have said and look at my paperwork, thank you.

Re - "sensible reply" please do take a look at my first attempt at adding a post (Advise please on my car) and read the replies I got and you will understand to what am referring to.
Thank you

I am not sure but on your log book (owners certificate) It should show the bank as first owner and you as the second owner of your car. This is for legal reasons, say you dont make payments the b
bank can take your car away.

I am of the opinion that to ship/drive the car out of UK you must first clarify to customs/bank why you are leaving the contry for good/holiday.

In that case you will need authority from your bank.

I think thats the most sensible answer!!!! :D

Hi Lady A,
I don't think you can take a car out of the UK if you still have finance on it, it has to do with reposession if you fail to pay. We tried with no luck
You could always say you were going on a touring holiday and forget to go back ; )

The log book is showing me as the owner the bank is not shown in anyway. This car thing is now begining to be stressful, just as well sell it and pay it off, won't have that stress then. :?

The relevant section regarding exporting 'your' vehicle should be in your HP/Lease agreement.
