Advise please on my car

Advise please on my car

I would dearly love to bring my car over to Cyprus, the thing is I only bought it in August, it is on finance. Can I still bring it over? (Payments will still be kept up here, which is not an issue) or could I drive it over from the UK, if so how do I do this to either Athens or Turkey once got there?

If successful what documents do I need for Cyprus? Can I still register it in Cyprus?

Am not sure what to do or more essentially what I’m able to do.

Advise Please :D

Thank you

If you're taking up residence in CY, here's some light reading for you regarding cars.....

http://www.mof.gov.cy/mof/customs/Custo ... enDocument

If you're not taking up residency in CY be warned there are some very, very hefty taxes to be paid, dependant on car value and engine size.

Welcome to CF.

Please take no notice of this Post op transexual poushto englezos. The above link probably leads to a pornagraphic site

Mr (Ms) Cobbett is very well known as the forum troll.

While purporting to be on a march to a free Kyrenia he is in fact on a one man (woman) mission to get Govt recognition for the British Free State of Peyia. So he may implement his (her) sadistic tendencies on a unsuspecting population

You have been warned

Oh and as for getting the car over, will it go through the Suez Canal? If not this link to a porn site may be of help .....

OK boys – Enough is Enough

This Lady is not impressed by this performance what so every. I only ask a valid question and expected a valid reply, was this really too much to ask for.

Putting the boys to one side, is there a genuine Gentleman or Lady that can answer my original question please.

Boys need not apply

it depends what car you will bring over the bigger the engine size the more you pay.

plus will you live here or bring it and take it back?

you pay lots of money. but if you could tell me make of car and specs of the car i could give you a better idea of how much it would cost you.

Hi Lady A.. Firstly, welcome to the madness of CF!! be warned of the mad creatures that roam the forum. .. they are actually quite nice once you get to understand them. :)

As for the car, the one thing that can be the killer is the import duty! especially if the engine size is over 1.8 litre. There are so many factors they take into consideration when making their calculations... So the link to the website that Bill has in his first post is actually quite useful. I'm not sure where you stand in terms of finance on a car that resides abroad, but it may well be worth talking to some local car importers. Again, as Bill stated if you will not reside in Cyprus this may be an issue...

Good luck on your findings.. and keep us posted how it's going.. :)

Hello Paliometoxo and Phill,

Thank you for your replies. I will be residing there. My car is a Renault Magane Convertible 1598cc petrol manual, if I can't find a way around it then I will put it up for sale here.
