British Carpetbaggers turn to US for help

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

British Carpetbaggers turn to US for help

Postby Jerry » Sun Jan 10, 2010 6:44 pm

A group of "cheated trnc" property buyers from the UK are joining in the class action against Turkey in their search for justice. It looks like they are being represented by a Greek lawyer, the TSIMPEDES LAW FIRM, in the US.

Here's a taster: - We have given the TRNC and its legal system every single opportunity to put things right over the last 6 years and now we find that we have hit the usual brick wall and mountains of lies. Therefore this offer has been made to us, and we have absolutely nothing financial to lose. We have no intention of ever returning to Cyprus and judging from the mountains of emails received in the last hour, we have many wishing to join us

The whole "debate" is "HOT" on thieves forum: -

I have the same sympathy for these people as they have for the displaced Greek Cypriots whose land they sought to occupy - none!

Dear Aga Buyers Action Group

Thank you for sharing your unfortunate experience with the TRNC and its fraudulent and deceptive trade practices that has affected you and so many people. We are also shocked to hear that you have been terrorized and threatened because you have spoken out about the wrongful conduct of the TRNC that should not be tolerated.

As we discussed, The Tsimpedes Law Firm is currently involved in a class action lawsuit filed in federal court in Washington, DC involving the TRNC and the Republic of Turkey related to property rights in the north of Cyprus. As you now know, the TRNC is an illegal enterprise and not recognized by any civilized nation. The TRNC is required to respond to our lawsuit in February, 2010 after a failed attempt to delay the legal proceedings.

Please find attached a copy of that Order. As we discussed, the Tsimpedes Law Firm will represent you in a lawsuit against the TRNC in Washington, DC for compensation based on the fraudulent property scheme that has taken all of your savings. Your Group should be applauded for your stance despite the threats and hardships by the TRNC.

We will begin preparation for litigation and look forward representing you in the United States.

They had purchased stolen property under an internationally condemned and infamously corrupt entity, and now that they’ve also been cheated they want justice??? :?

It’s a case of legendary stupidity!

What I would like to know, is why a "Greek" Lawyer sees it fit and appropriate to represent a bunch of carpetbaggers with their claim against Turkey/"trnc" when the lands they supposedly bought were probably stolen from the GCs!

They probably have the most experience and knowledge about Turkey and the political situation.

But, it doesn't sound like they are representing them for anything but the direct and illegal mis-selling of these properties.

What is ironic is that there are a bunch of no-gooders trying to stop them pursuing the "TRNC"/Turkey through the courts becasue they are "suspicious" that this is all a propaganda trick by the "South Cypriots" to get the "North" back when they were the ones originally conned, precisely, to prevent easy access to the occupied north by the rightful GC owners ...

A case of Puppets playing with Puppets ....

Thanks for the news Jerry.

Remarkable development? If some of the Carpetbaggers can claim they were mis-sold other people's property on the "strength of dodgy Tnucland kochans, then they should also consider hauling Turkey before the ECHR. Now that would be remarkable.

A tried and tested route starting at the Courts of the Republic which Turkey never attends. A Money for Old Rope route.

I think the argument will go along the lines of; "first Turkey illegally usurps GC land and then it sells it gullible fools several times over in order to fund its illegal occupation" I would hope that they would also point out that the new building explosion in the north was a direct consequence the Turks being told that TCs could keep "improved" GC land in the proposed Annan plan. Despite the AP not being adopted there can be little doubt that the "trnc" benefited merely from its publication.

Hey Bill, I've noticed that "our Court" has not been sitting since before Xmas. I wonder if the old boys are "cogitating" Orams? Must watch the lists next week perhaps we'll get a date soon, I read somewhere they have to make judgment within 3 months.
