Flag of the Occupation ADMIN PLEASE NOTE

Postby DT. » Fri Jan 08, 2010 9:48 pm

It is unacceptable for the flag of the occupation regime to be shown on this forum. Despite efforts to spread propaganda and attempts to cloud the issues, this island has experienced a forceful and violent invasion accompanied by death and destruction. The island continues to face an occupational army which is commanded by a foreign nation to this land. Our northern part of the island is held under occupation and our homes are held from us by FORCE.

This flag represents all those injustices and more, and I personally won't be able to stomach viewing it on this forum as an avatar or a signature.

I strongly urge Admin to carry out a decision already taken some time ago and ban this image from this forum.

I am with you on this DT.

But, since Expatkiwi has only just started using this in his signature, it's possible Admin has not seen it yet.

I was once asked to modify my signature because another forumer objected to its message, so I am sure Admin will heed this request to remove this abhorrent symbol which is worse than the swastika as the crimes it represents are still being committed.

Expat is a complete troll who adequately represents the thieving "free thinkers" illegally occupying nearly half our country. In him, (and them) we see the worst of unkind humanity ....

Grow up. It is a symbol of TCs, just as verified on the forum as the GC, Greek, Turkish or any other flag you can think of.

It's this type of psychotic paranoia that undermines so much of the good that can be achieved. There is never going to be a substitute for learning to accept each other, the sooner GCs understand TCs exists the sooner the healing can begin.

We are here, you haven't gotten rid of us yet.

Grow up. There is no such thing as the GC flag, there is the flag of Cyprus, the whole island. In fact, it's a visual representation of the whole island and the olive branches represent peace and reconciliation.

The flag of the "TRNC" represents Turkey's expansionism in Cyprus; and is a symbol of Islam, which TCs keep insisting they don't particularly adhere to, if at all.

Yes there is MP. It doesn't represent TCs, they are not in govt there so there's no representation.
You'd like to think so but the truth and what we'd like it to be are very different, particularly in your mind.
