expatkiwi walks into his bedroom carrying a sheep in his arms and says:
"honey, this is the pig I have sex with when you have a headache."
maureen is lying in bed and replies..."I think you'll find that's not a pig but a sheep, you idiot."

expatkiwi replies... " Shut up maureen, I wasn't talking to you."

In that case there are no "true Cypriots" in the Turkish occupied section of Cyprus.

Keep your "compassion" and "empathy" away if it means legalising and justifying the occupation.

The hatred and bitterness is in your every post, making exaggerated claims of suffering on behalf of the TCs ... obscured by history, but kept alive by your hate so that you can feel deserved of your much demanded GAINS.

What gains,oracle????
My family lost everything in the South, and I have lost my country....Where are these gains you are talking about???

I don't think your being fair on Bir at all Paphitis, what has he said that pisses you off sooo much?

Paphitis, what we want personally and what can be achieved are totally different stories. I too like most TC's, also wanted a Turkish Army presence in Cyprus after any solution but now am willing to let it go. The odd thing is that most TC's don't care how many are stationed in Cyprus as long as the Guarantee Treaties stay intact. On the topic of the Guarantee treaties, TC's basically want some sort of assurance that any brokered deal will not be unilaterally adjusted like they where in 63.

As far as Bir's view on the truth finally coming out on the events between 63 and 74, I'm with him on this one. Blaming the TMT for everything that happened is nonsense, what pisses me off personally is that GC's here on the forum NEVER acknowledge their part in the TC's being forced to migrate away from their villages, yes the TMT may have had a hand in it but I believe this is exaggerated.

In my view, the day the settler pop. outnumbered the TC's was the day partition was cemented. The settlers being allowed to vote in the annan plan created precedent that these people have a say in Cyprus. When it comes to your list Paphitis, I've never liked branding people for their views however much I might disagree with them. It's the same mentality that got us into this mess. So Paphitis I ask you take me off your list of "True Cypriots" since it seems anyone who doesn't tow the line is a "traitor".

Hi Palio, I don't know when I'll be coming back, maybe in November. I don't miss it too much to be honest, time flies when you're busy. I miss my mum quite a lot though. :(

Here is your TRUE CYPRIOT Miltiades in all his glory. What "empathy and compassion" he feels for the GCs!

How 'generously' he will allow a reduction in Turkish troops ... and how MANY will we be stuck with forever? 40,000 or 35,000?

This is his solution to the Cyprus problem ....

So,you found nothing else worth commenting on in my whole post,Oracle?
Just picked one sentence to vomit your poison again....Well here it is again:

Now we start the real work of building mutual trust and respect...
When everyone is serious about finding a solution, instead of scoring political points with misinformation and propaganda,we can establish a Truth and Reconciliation Commission....To examine objectively what happened in the past and how can we make ammends and what lessons can we learn...If we can be honest and open, the families of the missing and the dead can finally get some satisfaction...so can the people who have become refugees...We can start to talk about a workable solution, initially a BBF which will not set in stone ethnic divisions... Turkey can reduce her soldiers,we can establish a NG which will inspire confidence in all Cypriots,we can introduce a common national anthem to be used on international ocassions, open up Varosia for settlement(this area can become a prototype for a united Cyprus,we could encourage mixed settlement there for example). We can stop provocative practices like celebrating Greek and Turkish national holidays, flying their flags etc...

There is so much that can be done,MP...Denying our part in this mess and blaming everything on the other side is just a recipe for disaster...It seems we have not learnt this simple lesson in 50 odd years...

If you can't find anything else in this post you can positively contribute to,do us a favour and keep your mouth shut...Let people who want a real discussion to get on with it...thank you...
