Do you only want a reduction of Turkish Troop numbers in Cyprus or do you prefer a complete withdrawal?

I have read Bir's posts, and quite frankly Deniz, they don't inspire me with any confidence like Kikapu does, and your humanist self!

We don't show empathy and compassion in order to accommodate belligerent TCs but to sideline them.

We already show empathy and understanding to the TCs as most have RoC passports, ID cards, and are allowed free medical help.

If you go to any hospital emergency department, you will notice that ALL TCs are catered to first whilst the GCs are sidelined to wait their turn AFTER any TC patient, unless the GC patient was critical.

I think that is more to do with being part of the EU. I hope I am wrong.

First? Is this true? What more empathy and understanding do you want, Bir? Even your thugs go to the front of the health queue.

No Deniz! I only stated the above, not because I know much about the RoC's health system, but because I have a relative who works in one of the RoC's hospitals. Apparently, the RoC's hospitals are inundated with TC patients from occupied Cyprus, and any Health Department worker is too afraid to attend to any GC patient whilst there are TC patients waiting. In other words, the GCs are already discriminated against due to the directives of the RoC Health Ministry.

If anything, the EU would have a field day if it was officially aware of this unwritten policy!

We have to tread on egg-shells to appease our masters, the TCs who hold our culture to ransom .... :(

:? Where did you get that from? We've got a first come first served policy!

Although I think Turkish Cypriots should have ALL benefits cut off completely as they pay no taxes and parlay with the Turkish invader!

This is what I have been told by a RoC health worker in a well known hospital in Nicosia.

Apparently, the RoC's health department is too afraid of repercussions from allowing any TC to wait for medical assistance since they believe there may be some repercussions, and for this reason, any TC has priority over GCs.

Calling sick people 'thugs' isnt exactly showing empnathy is it? It is not the TC patients that 'demand ' that they go to the front of the queue. In my mind they are serious cases which the North may or may not be able to cater for. Any ospital (EU standard) will operate a proper 'Triage' system.

Calling them thugs makes you worse than EOKA B MP. Shame really.

 My point is, if this is the unwritten policy, even if they are thugs or belligerents or partitionist TCs, they get seen first.

Can you prove to me that it is bollocks?

There are some things that can't be proven or backed up, but I think Mr Patsallides, who is a good friend of mine, is a rather good source of information over a hot meal at La Trattoria in Adelaide.
