War criminals in Cyprus beware

A warning to any Turkish army generals or former members of paramilitary groups thinking of visiting the UK. ExpatTC, you'd better inform your penpal that his card is marked.

Please list any other such war criminals so the relevant authorities can be informed and warrants issued in the UK when they visit.

Tzipi Livni, now the Israeli opposition leader, was planning to visit London to attend a conference. She cancelled the trip but a diplomatic row broke out when it was found that a warrant had been issued for her arrest.

She was being sought for questioning about her role in last winter’s Israeli offensive in Gaza, after which both sides were accused of war crimes.

The warrant, issued by a magistrates’ court, was the latest in a series sought through British courts by Palestinian groups against Israeli leaders.

...

Under the principle of universal jurisdiction, those suspected of the most heinous crimes, including war crimes, can be arrested and tried in Britain, regardless of where the alleged crimes were committed. The principle is enshrined in the Geneva Conventions Act (1957)...

Previously, Defence Minister Ehud Barak has abandoned plans to visit the UK fearing arrest and in 2005 Doron Almog, a retired Israeli general, avoided arrest only by remaining on the plane that brought him to Heathrow.

Malapapa, does your list include Major Dano. How has he and the rest of the GC war criminals been able to escape from justice from two of the most democratic members of the eu?

You must be the only GC that does not know him. Believe me he is a known war criminal, killed both GCs and TCs.

Never heard of him. Provide the evidence and, when he comes to the UK, let's have him arrested
