Tim is quite right. Compensation for Turks who were sent to Türkiye by force during Todor Jivkov's presidency would be much higher than this figure. I am afraid poor Bulgaria will be bankrupt if Türkiye ever demanded compensation. So the Bulgarian had to take his words back.

Dear western Turk, (I'm not from the south, BTW)

Fair enough. But is the article wrong? Was there an agreement by Turkey to pay compensation to Bulgaria, which it hasn't paid?

You are since 1974. We, as your guarantor, are your name father.

Next you'll be denying your name father was from Thessaloniki in modern Greece. And where would that rewriting of history get you, eastern Greek?

And another thing runnynose, instead of making snide comments about Cypriots and the loss of their homelands, why don't you answer my questions about Turkey's dishonour, not keeping to agreements made?

The civilised world already holds your country in maximum contempt, without the need for more unnecessary nastiness from sons like you.
