How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

RichardB wrote:Like a lot of articles in The Cyprus Mail this one again reeks of propaganda. To my mind this is rather worrying as although the paper does not have a great circulation it is widely read by non Greek speaking residents of the ROC as well as I would imagine diplomatic corps members who have residencies in Cyprus, who, would see this as a spokesperson and the view for the majority of the citizens in the ROC.
Of course the owners of the Cy Mail would say that they do not necessarily hold the views of their 'correspondents' as their own get out clause.
People may say that the circulation is too small to really have a say in the Cy Problem and that persons will not take it seriously.
My personal opinion is that the Cy Mail knows exactly what it is doing with its 'controversal' propaganda statements. And that persons should be very wary about not taking this publication seriously I feel it could do and has done a lot of damage to the solution of the Cy Prob.

Happy New year to all ...from the bloody freezing ...smoke free...nanny state AKA the U bloody K

Perhaps one of our members who is a prominent journalist on the Cyprus Mail can better explain the policy.

Strange that a newspaper should have a policy to publish news. Real news as opposed the rest of the media which publishes patriot crap laced with cyanide.

There is nothing of value in the article published by Kifeas from Cyprus Mail.

Just another defeatist scare tactic or attempt to break down GC resolve for justice on their island.

Most people see right through this garbage journalism and inaccurate reporting.

So is journalism automatically propaganda or a point of view.

Calling it propaganda aims to undermine the legitimacy of the article as a point of view as it suggests an agenda.
The comments that have come to describe the article have not argued about the content and if Christofias has been dragging his heels or not and if not where can we see this being demonstrated.

Instead the comments have been to criticise the paper and the writer.

Personally I get it. Haven't seen much from Christofias over the last 18 mths so stands to reason he's not genuine about the July 8th process.

Like I said in a previous post I don't understand what's happened very recently. Between the reported Talat comments and the recent high speed discussions with Turkey and Greece.

If you've got insight rather than innuendo pls share.

what there to share....after all this time, wasted time, talat the malakas comes with a plan B that will allow turkish nationals to settle in Cyprus while talat the malakas is negotiating on the basis disallowing indigenous peole from settling in the occupied areas...

I see understanding is not part of your forte......you are a waste of time...

the only thing you understand and support is ethnic cleansing, just like what the nazis did to the jews...

Hey boomer I was being genuine, this plan B doesn't make sense to me. I wondered if anyone else had any understanding.
