One day, when Bananiot's stand is totally vindicated, the future progressive Cypriots would want to build his statue in the "Liberation Square"...Liberation from prejudice, bigotry, intolerance and stupidity...

The only way you'd ever see Bananiot's statue in a Cypriot square, would be if a war was lost and Cyprus was fully Turkified!

Under any other scenario, he’d become the Guy Fawkes of Cyprus and people would burn his effigy to celebrate the liberation from the Turkish/Ottoman yoke.

Just mark my words,GR! We won't be around to see that day,but it will come...Bananiot has already evolved into what you and I dream about,to become plain Cypriots...We both need 100 ovens full of bread to catch upto his enlightenment level... :)

Bananiot, openly claims to be a “citizen of the world” and that clearly suggests that he is NOT loyal to ANY country, so if you’re implying that Cyprus needs more Bananiots that will NOT be loyal to Cyprus, then you’re not as clever as you thought in following his footsteps, unless of course your vision of a future Cyprus is one that lacks identity, common values, and geopolitical clarity… in which case both you and Bananiot, should go join a bordello in Amsterdam where anything goes and you’ll feel more at home!

I would love to live in a bordello in amsterdam with Bananiot as a companion, but I suspect he has a wife who might object to it,and I,well, will not survive in tact more than a day there!

No,NO...Bananiot has an identity, citizen of the world, and common values, humanitarianism, and geopolitical clarity,he belongs to the whole world...It is you and I who are still struggling to leave behind our ethnic identity, blind nationalism, and geopolitical misguided sense of importance...
Don't make a mistake about that...

Says the representative the Turkish Expansionism

You have not changed one bit since the time you first came to our island. You are still trying to take our land, violate our rights and have Ottoman style gains on the expense of the majority of the population!

You do not deserve the title "Cypriot". You are an enemy of Cyprus. The extension of Imperialist Turkey in our island!

I can't believe the bunch of lame excuses you give to continue to refuse to the Cypriot people their human and democratic rights! You attack everybody who supports for Cyprus want is NORMAL as it exists in all other democratic countries in the world!!

The only ones who you like are those who are willing to surrender to you half of our country along with several racist privileges on the expense of the majority of the population. It is now obvious why you like those morons (i didn't say traitors), you can hide no more.

Tell me Bir, why should "your people" rule over Kyrenia which was inhabited by a vast majority of GCs for many 1000s of years? You think you won the war and we have to surrender it to you, isn't?

Once again you are trying to excuse your own racist and criminal demands by attributing to me things than I never supported such as "removing all traces of TC presence in Cyprus"

What I support is a free and democratic Cyprus without racist discriminations where all citizens are equal regardless of their language, religion, ethnicity, race, gender or anything else.

On the other hand you DO support the ethnic cleansing and the removal of GCs from the north part of Cyprus so you can make that part of Cyprus Turkish.

The Cypriot people have the right to freely and democratically decide the destiny of their own island, and that includes uniting Cyprus with Greece, EU or China. If you think you can kill and ethnically cleanse people just because they dared to ask for their RIGHTS then you haven't changed at all from your ancestors.

During the Greek War of Independence in 1821, the Ottoman authorities feared that Greek Cypriots would rebel again. Archbishop Kyprianos, a powerful leader who worked to improve the education of Greek Cypriot children, was accused of plotting against the government. Kyprianos, his bishops, and hundreds of priests and important laymen were arrested and summarily hanged or decapitated on July 9, 1821.

So tell me Bir, in what way are you different from those Ottoman oppressors? You STILL want to divide Cypriots into two groups so your group can take far more than your proportional share on our expense and you STILL think you are justified to massacre people to impose your will by force whenever you don't agree with the 100% legitimate choices of the majority of the population.

Compassion for the downtrodden is at the very heart of a humanitarian but you’ll never find Bananiot campaigning for any of them! If anything he supports the Anglo-American war machine; the makers of widows and refugees! :(

What can I say? You’ve got some serious misconceptions in your head!

If a BBF is agreed with political equality, the GCs may well legitimately buy up property in and move to the TC administered state and in time (20 years?) may even alter its demographics in favour of the GCs.

How would the TCs react to this possible reality?

What would happen if a GC then stands for local election in the TC administered state and wins, as would be legal and normal in any federation?

One would hope that by then all of the mis-trust would be gone, but definately food for thought.

This is exactly what Kikapu had in store for us, he just tried to disguise it and sell it to us as the best possbile solution for TCs.

I have pointed this problem for you many times which you refuse to understand. The above WILL happen if you keep so much GC land in the north that from day one the GC population will be as many as the TCs, then of course, the game changes. Because you are after equal power and as much GC land for the north state, you will run the risk of losing both in the end. Your ONLY option is to reduce the GC land in the north as much as possible so that the north state becomes an overwhelming TC majority. In order to maintain this majority, most of the TCs need to live in the north state or, have the north state in several large parcels of land (mini Cantons) where you can maintain the vast majority in each one, or if need be, ask for a derogations to maintain the majority in the north state as long as you do not violate anyone’s democratic and Human Rights who already have a right to live there who already own land, but only have a derogations on those who may want to move at later stage (after 5 years) to the same growth rate for the GCs at the same percentage as TCs growth rate . This will make sure the north state stays majority TC always. If you give most of the GC land back to be part of the south state, they may agree for the TCs to have the majority in the north under such a plan, but if you insist on keeping most of their land, then you will lose the north state in time. I have warned you about this many times, so don't act as if you were not told.

You need to have a TRNC identity card, by all accounts.
