BBF or PARTITION

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Bananiot » Wed Jan 06, 2010 1:33 am

Have you met up with the Denktashes yet, Kifeas? Remember your call for partition? Now its the time I think for you to make the move. Or perhaps, you have reverted but to your "play soldier" self, in which case may I ask, have you visited the shooting range recently?

One day, when Bananiot's stand is totally vindicated, the future progressive Cypriots would want to build his statue in the "Liberation Square"...Liberation from prejudice, bigotry, intolerance and stupidity...

If a BBF is agreed with political equality, the GCs may well legitimately buy up property in and move to the TC administered state and in time (20 years?) may even alter its demographics in favour of the GCs.

How would the TCs react to this possible reality?

What would happen if a GC then stands for local election in the TC administered state and wins, as would be legal and normal in any federation?

One would hope that by then all of the mis-trust would be gone, but definately food for thought.

This is exactly what Kikapu had in store for us, he just tried to disguise it and sell it to us as the best possbile solution for TCs.

Ok, how about this:

Partition is agreed and the RoC signs a treaty renouncing any claims to the territory in the newly formed TC nation.

The TC nation joins the EU, the border fence/wall is dismantled enabling full freedom of movement and has the Euro as it's currency.

The GCs, recognising that if they work in the south but live in the north this will be more favourably economically, start buying up property and move to the north and commute south to work, or, even decide to live and work in the north as they can freely move about the whole of the island.

Eventually the demographics of the new TC nation goes in favour of the GCs (20-30 years) and a GC is elected as president.

somewhere deep down in GC collective consciousness there is this desire or need or compulsion (not sure which) to dominate and rule the TCs....

Wrong! We’re only interested in dominating and ruling OUR island; the home of our forefathers for over 10,000 years so we are the ones who are acting NORMAL!

You on the other hand, are the uninvited guests who refuse to flow with the current therefore, the problem is YOU not us!

If you’re not prepared to blend with the indigenous people and flow with the island’s current then you will never see the light of day here for there can only be ONE people here… Cypriots!

Cheaper to pay for a little Kamal A. lookalike, re-modelling, and make use of the soon to be surplus statues.

The only way you'd ever see Bananiot's statue in a Cypriot square, would be if a war was lost and Cyprus was fully Turkified!

Under any other scenario, he’d become the Guy Fawkes of Cyprus and people would burn his effigy to celebrate the liberation from the Turkish/Ottoman yoke.

I am with you on this one,GR...I wish what you want could come true..But listening to Piratis,Oracle,Epsilon,Yialousa,B25 et al gives me the impression that we are pissing against the wind...all the plans are for achieving a GC dominated unitary state or failing that 2 GC dominated federal states...You better take up your issue with them...I will always be for Cyprus for Cypriots by Cypriots, one people one nation, never doubt that...Never... 8)

Just mark my words,GR! We won't be around to see that day,but it will come...Bananiot has already evolved into what you and I dream about,to become plain Cypriots...We both need 100 ovens full of bread to catch upto his enlightenment level... :)

Bananiot, openly claims to be a “citizen of the world” and that clearly suggests that he is NOT loyal to ANY country, so if you’re implying that Cyprus needs more Bananiots that will NOT be loyal to Cyprus, then you’re not as clever as you thought in following his footsteps, unless of course your vision of a future Cyprus is one that lacks identity, common values, and geopolitical clarity… in which case both you and Bananiot, should go join a bordello in Amsterdam where anything goes and you’ll feel more at home!

I would love to live in a bordello in amsterdam with Bananiot as a companion, but I suspect he has a wife who might object to it,and I,well, will not survive in tact more than a day there!

No,NO...Bananiot has an identity, citizen of the world, and common values, humanitarianism, and geopolitical clarity,he belongs to the whole world...It is you and I who are still struggling to leave behind our ethnic identity, blind nationalism, and geopolitical misguided sense of importance...
Don't make a mistake about that...
