Well innocent people pay until they secure justice and then they get compensation and their legal fees covered.

Viewpoint wrote:Thats just an example of what can be done by the majority which in this case happen to be GCs, what we ask for is a system that will not llow such things to ever happen again.

You can ask for whatever you want and, so long as it doesn't infringe on my rights, or anyone else, good luck to you. But what you and everybody else is entitled to in Cyprus is their individual rights.

I'm not asking criminals anything. If they infringe on my rights I pursue them in the courts.

In that case what about the eoka criminals?

I don't discriminate against any criminals. Do you?

Viewpoint wrote:We are talking about your stance in relation to a solution what you have been putting forward on the CF only perpetuates division.

My stance is that individuals should secure their human rights in Cyprus.

I take no share of any blame for which I'm not responsible.

But you have to and will continue to pay the price unless you can compromise a solution that we can all agree to.

Sorry. I refuse to pay anything other than legal fees which I will be compensated for once I secure my rights.

Viewpoint wrote:
Fine... so long us my rights and the rights of others innocent people aren't compromised.

Thats whats being negotiated right now but we are still nowhere a solution because the leaders like us cannot agree a structure that will satisfy both sides and neither wll back down so we both have to pay.

Let them talk. There are other ways to secure my rights.

Go for it, hope it brings what you desire...being GC its probably money but it wont bring a solution.

What if your rights place me in danger? or you misuse your power to my detrement? how will we make sure this will not happen and that we have learned our lessons from past mistakes?

I don't discriminate against any criminals. Do you?

Obvioulsy you do the eoka terrorists are remembered and rewarded.

My stance is that individuals should secure their human rights in Cyprus.

Why dont you have them right now in you part of Cyprus? to unite you have to compromise and agree a structure that will everyone human rights where one cannot exploit that right to the detrement of the other.

Sorry. I refuse to pay anything other than legal fees which I will be compensated for once I secure my rights.

You pay and will continue to pay as long as theres no solution, you cannot get out of by saying you wont pay time you realized this fact.

Let them talk. There are other ways to secure my rights.

How exactly?

When a crime has been committed it can't be reversed. But securing justice in court brings some kind of closure. And the criminals have to pay which is always nice.

Viewpoint wrote:What if your rights place me in danger?

Not securing people's rights places others in danger. The best way to avoid danger is to secure everyone's rights.

Viewpoint wrote:or you misuse your power to my detrement?

What power? I am an individual endeavouring to secure my rights, not power.

Viewpoint wrote: how will we make sure this will not happen and that we have learned our lessons from past mistakes?

I didn't make any past mistakes so I don't need to learn any lessons. Criminals need to be brought to justice if they are to learn lessons.

Viewpoint wrote:Obvioulsy you do the eoka terrorists are remembered and rewarded.

Not by me. You mentioned Eoka criminals before; terrorist is a loaded term.

Viewpoint wrote:Why dont you have them right now in you part of Cyprus? to unite you have to compromise and agree a structure that will everyone human rights where one cannot exploit that right to the detrement of the other.

If that can be agreed then fine. Meanwhile I and all other Cypriots should endeavour to secure their own individual rights because 35 years waiting is long enough.

Good luck to you it appears you are more interested in a court judgement and money rather than a solution that would mean compromise and understanding but I arrived at that conclusion a long time ago you are no different from the majority of GCs who only want control of the whole island and have no regard for what TCs think or want.

Hope you get what you want but its obviously not a solution because no one but the TCs can give you that.

Whatever... I personally don't have any land in the north, so don't stand to make any money from any court judgement. So figure that out.

No they can't, because a solution secures everyone's human rights and that's not what's on offer.

Then who are you taking to court in order to get what ever it is you want?

No one. I stand to gain nothing. I'm just interested in justice for innocent people in Cyprus and this is the only option open to them. And you? What do you stand to gain from not allowing this to happen?

I'm on the side of justice. I want the rule of law to apply through the whole of the island.

You are talking in riddles but if you are referring to people taking Turkey to court feel free to so Im not objecting but what I am saying it will at best get a judgement and some cash nothing else...no solution is no solution.

The problem is who will apply those laws and how do we make sure they do not misuse them?

Hardly.... I'm pointing out I have no personal vested interest, clouding my judgement. Nor loss. Nor guilt. Nor responsibility.

I figured that out a while ago with Turkey involved. Getting billions out of Turkey and keeping it out of the EU is the next best thing. And the legal owners of property in the north remain the legal owners.
