Christofias assures he will not sign interim Cyprus accord

Postby paliometoxo » Wed Dec 30, 2009 8:39 pm

NICOSIA - President Demetris Christofias said on Wednesday that ''the President of the Republic, who is the negotiator, defends principles and defends the country,'' adding that there was ''no possibility of signing an intermediate agreement or any ready plan to be presented to the people of Cyprus.''

Addressing the Nicosia General Hospital staff during an on site visit, President Christofias assured he would struggle for a qualitative solution, which should be functional, viable and based on principles.

He added that if the Turkish Cypriot side presented ''more reasonable positions, more acceptable positions, that would lead to a solution for a true federation with a single sovereignty, a single citizenship and a single international identity, we could surely reach a solution soon and this is our aim.''

President Christofias pointed out that there were ''important aspects'' of the Cyprus problem that would be discussed after the forthcoming so-called elections in the Turkish occupied areas.

Judging by your confusion, you probably already suspect the solution is all above your heads ....

VP, he will have discussions with the "so called" president of the "so called" TRNC after the "so called" elections. I now believe that the "so called" negotiations on the "so called" Cyprus Problem is "so called" over.
You have a very nice Happy New Year present coming. The TRNC will remain 37.5% and by the end of the year, you will trade with who ever you wish.
Happy new Year to all my friends TC or GC.
