This is home not Turkey and we dont have to go anywhere thats the beauty of it...unless we can agree a structure that will give us a BBF with political equality we can stay as we ae for as long as it takes to get the TRNC recognized, choice is yours.

but you said your originally turkish so wouldent that make home turkey?

but no one can be sure of what will happen.. if you wait and your new president stops attending meetings and shows the world they are not intrested the world wont be kind to the illigal state i think this new leader will make sure there is no TRNC anymore not officially or physically partitioned.. or will it? no one can be sure both sides want their own version of a solution and are so sure it will happen but you cant know this for sure.. only time will tell on this one.. but a no solution is more costly for turkey

unfortunatly i am just one man the choice is far from mine. i am just one vote.. but even if it was up to me i would never fold i would never accept two states officialy in cyprus..

If you origins are Greek does that mean you have to go back to Greece? If we should take what you say as being right there would be no one left but the native indians in the USA. We belong to this island and we will fight for our rights.

More than one way to skin a cat, your leaders demanded open ended negotiations so another 5 years is also open ended all he has to do is pay lip service and he will be fine. As for all this doom and gloom you predict for Turkey dates come and go and still nothing you epople are really deluded as to thinking the EU give a shit, sorry but they show no signs of presurizing Turkey into a corner still no ports and no recognition of the 'RoC'.

In a statement on a private TV channel,TRNC President Mehmet Ali Talat strongly criticized the Greek Cypriot Leader for his reference to the TRNC flag as “hideous”.
‘This is an insult’ said Talat who underlined the need for the Greek Cypriot leader to respect the TRNC flag which was sacred for the Turkish Cypriots.
TRNC Prime Minister Derviş Eroğlu has also criticized the Greek Cypriot Leader Demetris Christofias for his comments.
“This shows that Christofias still feels anger towards the TC'S, so he cannot even put up with our flag” he said.
The Premier stated that this proves how difficult it is to negotiate an agreement acceptable for the TC People with a person, who cannot even put up with the TRNC flag and cannot accept the TRNC people as equals.
Another reaction to Christofias’s statement came from TRNC Foreign Minister Huseyin Ozgurgun.
“The flag is the most honorable and valuable symbol of the TC people. It’s impossible to believe in the Greek Cypriot Administration’s willingness for a just, comprehensive and sustainable settlement in Cyprus if it cannot even endure the flag”, Özgürgün said.
The Minister also called on the Greek Cypriot Leader to apologize to the Cyprus Turkish People for his words, which he said, have nothing to do with moral rules and political benevolence.

“Christofias and his followers, who assume that the TRNC flag will be lifted down from the sky, must come to realize the fact that the Turks of Cyprus will neither give up on their flag nor on their independence and sovereignty” Ozgurgun noted:

Joining those criticizing the Greek Cypriot Leader for his comments, the Leader of the Freedom and Reform Party Turgay Avcı complained that Christofias has been showing enmity against the TC'S at all platforms and under all conditions.
“The TC People is determined not to lower their holy flag they defended at the cost of their lives as it is the symbol of their independence and freedom” he said.
