You know: I don't think much of the USA-bashing on this forum. People here love making the United States of America the whipping boy. It's not only endlessly repetitive, it's just plain dumb!

I sympathise with Demetris Christofias and the Greek Cypriot people. After all, the Turks have no right to occupy the North - illegally I may add. Also, to rub salt into the wounds of Greek Cypriots, those Turks have the audacity to cross the border to go and work in the South!

It’s a pity that the Greek Cypriot army isn’t strong enough to kick those Turks out of Cyprus. Unfortunately, the Turks have the backing of the USA which is why they were able to illegally invade Cyprus in the first place.

I guess that the only way the Cypriot people can be rid of this rif-raf would be when Turkey wants to join the EU. I understand that one of the conditions for Turkey being allowed to join the EU is the complete withdrawal of Turkish troops from Northern Cyprus.
