2010 on the Cyprus Forum

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I know feelings run high. I know when someone is unpleasant the natural reaction is to bite back - but ask yourself 'what does this achieve'?

I am sure some members would not like their husbands/wives/partners/children to see what they have posted here - they would be embarrassed by the sheer childishness or small mindedness.

Too often I see name calling based almost solely on another person's nationality - virtual racism. To justify this stupidity because 'well, they started it' isn't good enough, it just continues the spiral of unpleasantless.

How can we blame the political leaders for failing to agree or reconcile, if we cannot even do that amongst oursleves? So, please can we treat others with respect even when we totally disagree with their views.

I look forward to a positive year, on CF and that progress is made, in real life to finding a solution.

Lana

As great as it may be to have a conversation without your opposition using profanity it is their only means of defending themselves when confronted with the truth, and unfortunately for many of the people using this forum it is their only means of communication.
But the thought was nice.
