Dear beverley
No-one was suggesting that ourwillie could not specify a 'British' -later 'English' - soulmate but when a phrase such as: 'I said BRITISH not bloody foreigners that come to cyprus from the old eastenblock counties' which cleary demeans the races described, there would obviously be some reaction. For a Scot living in Cyprus to describe Eastern Bloc nationals as 'foreigners' itself was a further irony.
You said there was no insult; assuming you were English. how would you feel about someone posting: 'I said RUSSIAN not bloody foreigners from England'?
I acknowledged ourwillies' original post was both amusing and inventive and I really wish him well in his search; he seems a nice man.
