The "Politeness thread".....

Postby Phill » Fri Dec 25, 2009 7:04 am

Well everyone...

It's Christmas Day and I would like to think we could all be polite and pleasant to each other on this day... let's be positive, happy and chat nicely!!!

Please, no matter who you are, where you're from or what you think about anyone else.... let's all be nice eh?

I would like to start off by saying I have thoroughly enjoyed the chit chat with everyone I have encountered so far... You are all very interesting people from all walks of life... I respect all of your comments (through gritted teeth.. Image ) and raise my glass to wish each and every one of you a lovely, relaxing, peaceful day...

To health and happiness.....

Cheers Image

I'm still seething that I bit my tongue and didn't lay into my (ignorant) Turkophile friend to set her right on her lack of historical knowledge upon which she bases a wealth of misinformation. I was the hostess and I had to be polite ... but two days later, I am still fuming at turning a blind eye to ignorance!

I cannot do it Phill .... I shall bury my head in the kitchen and not look at the forum at all today if that is the challenge.

I cannot be "nice" to those I think are wrong ... :( ... that would just be condescending.

On the basis that I would be offended if others thought I was wrong and didn't correct me ... :? Oh well, I suppose I am banished to the kitchen for the rest of the day ...

Now be good whilst I'm gone, and keep those unruly forumers in line with your inimitable, gentlemanly style; and I hope you have a lovely day; Christmas or no Christmas.Image
