The president has spoken

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

well said.. but both sides cant have partition and re unification..

though the turks calling it re unification but mean two states under one state which is so much bs and crap.

what happens when both sides come to sign the agreement and north says but we are signing for two states.. and roc says no we signing for re unified cyprus..

i dont see how we are going to get anywhere with these talks not while turkey is acting like complete a holes

It's quite simple, palio. They will vote for a reunification plan which is acceptable to the majority of Cypriots, or there will not be a vote.

If the TCs (and every other Tom, Dick and Hassan they've shipped in) vote "no", it will be "no" to much, much more than just reunification, and "no" on behalf of many, many more more people than just the TCs.

And the pursuit of justice, through the relevant courts, continues unabated.

Whatever one side wants, rest assured the other will vote for the opposite. It has always been the case. Losers both.

X Muhtar spoken .............Davutoglu Angry .......... ERCAKICA HOPEFUL FOR THE NEW YEAR............. Vay Anam Vay :!:

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu got angry with the Greek Cypriot Administration who announced that it would unilaterally manage to halt Turkey’s accession talks with the European Union on 6 chapters.

Mr. Davutoglu said it is disconcerting for Turkey to see such preventive attempts which do not directly derive from EU-related matters.

Turkish Foreign Minister’s statements came at a joint press in Brussels that came amid the opening of a new chapter between Turkey and the EU on the Environment.

Mr. Davutoglu laid emphasis on the fact that both Turkey and the EU member states are clearly aware of the strategic importance of improving mutual relations.

Pointing out that the EU will have to make a strategic decision soon, he said the EU will either have to focus on Turkey’s contributions by preventing unilateral declarations from hindering the accession process, or will sacrifice its strategic benefits to unnecessary political concerns and unilateral demands of one member state.

While referring to the Cyprus problem, he made evident that Turkey will continue to support the settlement in Cyprus on the basis of the United Nations parameters.

He hoped that the Turkish Side’s outstanding peace efforts will get a positive response through the establishment of lasting stability and peace in the Eastern Mediterranean.

What are these political concerns which are unnecessary?
