So, what's the worst Xmas pressie you ever received?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

:lol:

Was she hinting you should move out and get a place of your own?

Anyway, that reminds me of my mum's presents to me when I turned a teenager and she obsessively started collecting 12 piece dinner sets, crystal glass collections and boxed cutlery sets for me .... which I still have stored away, now some 30+ years old.

Thank you Aunt Oracle for giving me this opportunity to confide in you;
My worse present was in 1963, 21st December. You know the rest. :lol: including the Cyprus TV concert that I was going to perform in---that was a no go. It would have been the highlight of the end of year celebrations :cry:

My dear wife received a x-mas gift from her son 15 years ago. He knew that she was keen on knitting jumpers for the whole family and friends. So he thought that a 'Knitting Macine' would be a suitable present. He was wrong. I set it up and learnt how to use it (too technical for the missus), she never used it. She would never dream of availing herself of the services of E-Bay. She still is a prolific knitter. Bless her. :lol:

Gift vouchers are the best, attached to a box of chocolates/plonk. Cant go wrong there. :wink:

Sell that on Ebay but if that shit is 30 years old it should be antique by now. Look up Antique Roadshow.

My grandmother was a weird old lady living in our outside laundry with my unmarried aunties .I don't know about pots and pans and quilts but what would a 12 yr old boy do with that shit? Maybe she had shell shock because the Turks dropped napalm on her house?

We got what we thought was a gift voucher from my mother in law one year. When we went to use it we found it was actually a credit note - which had expired!

A hi-fi. I wanted one but not the one they got me.

I chose a really decent one yet they went ahead and bought the lamest one you could ever imagine :(. What made it worse, it was the same price as the one I wanted....I couldn't get over that. What were they thinking?!?! :?
