Remains of Tassos Papadopoulos burried in Paris??

Postby iceman » Sat Dec 19, 2009 6:00 pm

I am surprised no one has picked up on this yet.
According to today's Afrika newspaper in the north, they have heard from various French sources that the remains of Tassos Papadopoulos has been buried in Paris France.
The newspaper claims the late presidents remains were unearthed by relatives and taken to Paris on a private aircraft,to be buried there.
The paper also claims that late presidents wife was aware of the operation and she had left the island shorty before to take place at the secret burial in France.
According to the claim there are few different possible reasons for this operation.
One reason is to revive the spirit of EOKA and prevent a possible solution against GC's favour in the very near future.
Another reason is Tassos Papadopoulos left in his will his desire to be buried abroad until Cyprus is liberated from Turkish occupation.

Come on really?

This surely the press would know, unless the whole system of networks are making room for this to happen.
But then this maybe another rumour.
I have had nothing on my RSS feeds from the North News.

In my opinion even if the Cypriot news and government did hide this very important fact, I think that the French would have shed some light on this.

They should have waited to publish this on April 1st ... on EOKA's anniversary ;) It seems that if the body is not found that various stories will start circulating.

I can assure you that the family is shocked, angry and horrified right now. Reports of the family arranging this are ridiculous.
