TRNC government bans European Union Diaries

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Expatkiwi » Sun Dec 20, 2009 2:31 am

It's probably because of a map in the diary showing Cyprus as one nation, and also Republic of Cyprus national holidays.

But there is no such organisation as "TRNC" let alone a "government".

According to the newspaper article which I have quoted from:

Information about the institutions, standards and functioning of the European Union along with useful information about things like young people, the environment, the dangers of drugs and health.

This diary was distributed free of charge to students in all EU member states in the students' own language. The TRNC is the only place where this diary has been banned.

The banning of the diary was no doubt carried out on the strict orders of the Turkish occupying army .The puppets just carried out the orders. It comes as no surprise that a very large number of T/Cs are turning away from Turkey .
Insan , YFred and others who still support the continued occupation must realize that the days of the "trnc" are numbered. The EU doesn't want to know , America doesn't either and so does the rest of the world. To continue with what amounts to an outright fallacy in promoting the "trnc" as a proper nation and to continue referring to the " president " while at the same time the one recognized the word over is called the leader is a paradox of immense dimensions that only a third world nation would embark on such a preposterous position , no wonder then that the entire world doesn't want to know.

AB yetkilileri ne dedi?

“Avrupa Ajandası”na yönelik gelişmeleri, Avrupa Birliği Bilgi Merkezi yetkililerine sorduk:

· Bu yıl 27 AB ülkesinde dağıtımı yapılan fakat Kuzey Kıbrıs'ta dağıtımına engel olunan AB Ajandası kitaplarıyla ilgili son durum nedir?

· Ajandanın dağıtımı, içerikle ilgili küçük bir bölüm üzerinde çıkan anlaşmazlık nedeniyle yapılamamıştır. AB bunu üzüntüyle karşılamıştır

The EU information centre stated that because of the dispute on a little part of the content of the diary, it's distribution couldn't have been done...

... and the disputed little part of the diary is related with EU propaganda... The EU diaries shouldn't have been used for propaganda purposes...

... and, in the absence of any kind of official declaration, Yeni Düzen guesses that the objectionable "small section" in question may be the following words by Jose Manuel Barroso in the preface:

The European Commission supports efforts to achieve reconciliation in Cyprus. A reconciled Cyprus will both go down in history and constitute a success story that will provide a message of hope to the world. But reconciliation is impossible without the support of the people. A borderless island will have the greatest impact on the lives of young people. And you can ensure that peace is achieved in Cyprus.

Probably not music to Eroğlu's ears. This in my view may be the very thin end of a heavy wedge. Wait until you all have to return your EU passports or face trial for treason!

Shows they have no rights infering in the TRNC and that it is a totally different identity to the GC south, where they only represent themselves and cannot introduce such matter without consulting and obtaining permission from the TRNC authorities. Another slap in the face of the EU and the GCs thay have no say in the north.

VP, I totally agree with you on this, how dare they (EU) try to show some recognition of the pseudo state, your actions just confirmed for us what we have been telling the EU all long, your intransigence is unbeleiveable.

How dare they try to include you and try to do something for you, tell them where to get off mate. And whilst you are at it tell them also to stick any, alleged, promisis they may have made the "TRNC".

So you see, you want their money but you don't want them 'interferring' way to go, at this rate, with any luck they may just tell YOU where to go.

PLONKER!

To right they have to recognize the authorities in the TRNC by getting permission or they can fuck off and take their pitence with them.
