YOUTHS DO NOT BELIEVE THAT A“FEDERATION”IS THE BEST SOLUTION

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Kifeas you are so wrong. Turkey has no imperative need for anything. She is not going anywhere for the next 10 years. She has a lot more things to do before the cyprus problem becomes an issue for her, and even that depends on who is in government. If a pro military government comes to power they will not even want to join eu. Do you know how out of touch you are with reality?
Will you guys quit thinking that you are going to use the EU against Turkey to get what you want. EU would not allow you to that any way. Grow up the lot of you.

First of all, youth know very little about politics, let alone what a Federation is. You VP is a perfect example of this and you are an adult, where you get your Federations and Confederations all mixed up and even then, you do not apply Democracy and Human Rights into the running of these form of Governments. If you do not know how these institutions run, I do not expect the youth to know either when they have more urgent things to do, like looking at naked pictures of girls and boys. I believe this is a made up poll and the fact that majority of the youth in the north are illegal aliens (settlers) and not TCs, makes the results of this poll invalid even if such a poll did take place. After all, the only way the illegal aliens are going to be able to remain in Cyprus and keep the GCs properties is through a 2 states equalling 2 independent countries , so what else would you expect these "TC" youths to say if that is all they are hearing at home from their parents and the Fascists. Such polls are meaningless except to give the NeoPartitionist an orgasmic thrills that they are closer to an agreed partition or recognition.!

This poll, if true, was more than likely performed by our in-house con-artists, Runaway and Expatkiwi.!

The whole post is riddled with sexual inuendos revealing yet again what a pervert you really are...are you calling the youth of Cyprus idiots? They are fully aware what a state solution is and makeing us live together being a federation...they are telling you that they prefer to be apart...another 50 years and the older generation will have died out then agreed partition will be a reality...tick tock.

VP, he is actually being very consitent. He is very good at ignoring every generation before and after him. May he continue with his slumber.

The Turkish and Greek Cypriot youths do not believe that a “federation” is the best solution for the Cyprus problem.

Results of a survey, carried out by the UNDP-ACT in cooperation with the University of Nicosia in South Cyprus and the Cyprus Social and Economic Research Centre KADEM, were announced yesterday.

According to the survey, 41% of Turkish youth believes that a two-state solution will be the best way to settle the Cyprus problem whilst 30% of Greek Cypriots did so.

This reflects a 20% rise in the number of Greek Cypriots and a 18% rise in the number of Turkish Cypriots supporting a two-state solution compared to the survey carried out between November 2007 and March 2008.

The percentage of those supporting a federation is very low.

Only 4% of Turkish youth is in support of a federation whilst 20% of Greek Cypriots did so.

The number of those supporting a confederation is also very low.
Just 6% of Turks believe that a confederation is the best solution to the Cyprus question whilst 5% of Greek Cypriots did so.

26% of Turkish youth and 9% of Greek Cypriot youth said they thought the continuation of the current situation would be the best solution to settle the Cyprus issue.

The survey also contained questions on national identity, the European Union, religion and health.

anybody knows what was the results for above . :!:

Halil, the explanation is very simple indeed! If as a community you are only the 18% of the total, and the share of your property ownership was also along the same level, and now you believe you are in possession of 50% of the island; why would you want federation or re-unification of any sort, if you were made to believe that what you crabbed in excess was your "kismet," and that one day you may also be able to run away with it?

Halil, I said it to you many times! Whatever the TCs want or wish, is pretty much irrelevant! You do not count! You will only do whatever Turkey orders you to do, and you will sing a song or two on top of it! If it was up to you to decide, you may as well ask for the whole of Cyprus, the moon and the stars, but who cares? You do not really count, even if you have Talat there, or Eroglou or even Attila the Hun as your leader! You will only dance the Zurna tunes Turkey will play for you, and your corrupted wishes are irrelevant!

Turkey now has an imperative need to get rid of the Cyprus issue, and will drag you from legs and arms -crying or laughing, towards an agreed solution!

With Iran-American in the equataion you will be the ones sing a merry song or two, there will be no solution.

Really YFred, really??? I am out of touch with reality, YFred? Really? You know better than Davutoglu, Gul and Erdogan; who keep saying all the time that “the EU is a strategic goal for Turkey?” Really, YFred, really? You know better than the Turkish government itself, what are Turkey’s interests, needs and desires? Do some reading, YFred, instead of spending all of your time farting “kahvehane” type of nonsense in the forums!

Really YFred, really??? And what will the EU do, to stop us from exercising our veto rights against Turkey's EU accession? Will it cut us the salaries, the water and the electricity, like Turkey will do to you whenever it wishes to push you into the direction it wants? What will the EU do, YFred? Will it bomb us with atomic or nuclear weapons, so that we allow Turkey to become a member of the EU? What, YFred? C'mon, tell us?

As Turkey will not be considered for entry for 10 years or more, what difference does it make who says what now. Do you not see that Turkey has plenty of time where as the Cyprus problem has no time at all.
Who from the current crop of politicians will be there when Turkey joins the eu in 10 years time.
You just don't get it my friend.

If Turkey is so far away from even being considered for EU entry why would a people already in the EU agree to re-establish the way their country is governed - to give Turkey a chance to interfere in how its run and to intervene militarily?

You just don't get it.
