This is not just a Muslim problem; many Ethnic Groups carry out these "Honour Killings" if the parents lose face. Hindus, Sikhs etc. are known to do this sort of thing so it's a bit unfair to state it is down to Islam.

dont protect islam, im pretty sure somewhere in their weird belief its there for them to kill relatives.
in my eyes there is no excuse whatsoever to kill a daughter, no way.
i dont even think anyone can blame the relgion either, we could all do sick things and stand up afterwards and say "but its part of my relgion"! these people who do this are clearly unstable and have it in them to carry out such an act wheather they are religious or not.
the relgion encourages i know, but its already in them to be sick barstards who have no place in any society.

i think its the influence they having during their life as well as its already in them..

they are raised with these sick twisted values and no morals to kill their own daughter for stupid twisted reasons

i agree and whats upsets me is that they can have the thoughts/ideas to inflict harm on their own child then actually carry out the acxt then appear to have no sadness after just relief. if thats not mental wtf is

I believe Turkey has mandatory life sentences for people convicted of honor killings. To be fair, this really isn't something that appears particularly palatable to Turks generally speaking.

If I'm wrong, please let me know...
