Anyone who has any illusions that a undemocratic political arrangement such as a BBF or BBC, based on racist communities can work in Cyprus was given yet another reminder today how easily it can fall apart!

The problem is a recurring Turkish Cypriot theme called thewaking out” which is essentially a TC spitting of the dummy, that Cyprus is all too familiar with starting from December 1963 when TC ministers walked out of parliament never to return because then president Makarios produced a set of proposals they didn’t like and didn’t want to debate! This ultimately led to the catastrophic consequences of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974.

In the late 90s, the Turkish Cypriot waking out theme showed its ugly face again when Denktash walked out of negotiations towards Cyprus joining the EU. As a result of this the Turkish Cypriots are to this day complaining that they are “left out” of the EU, and useless Denktash is never blamed for anything and even called a “hero”!

Well, you’d think the foolish Turkish Cypriots would’ve learned a thing or two by now from the past but no! Read for yourselves the latest reason for the new Turkish Cypriot “walking out” and laugh at their stupidity…

Turkish Cypriots walk out of Ledra Palace meeting

"The meeting was marked by the decision of three Turkish Cypriot parties to leave the meeting, protesting the decision of the Slovak Ambassador to decline an invitation to lunch by the Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat."

Anyone who thinks that these immature goofballs we call “Turkish Cypriots”, are in a position to run a country with us seriously needs to have his head examined!

Here’s hoping that the next time they consider walking out that they’ll just keep walking until they reach Turkey!

Regards, GR.

'Waking up'? what waking up, or is it another error by unkie GR? Does your spell checker work GR?

Yes, the walk out was very childish. Fecking politicians. One step forward and three steps backward.

But, he walked out precisely because he was told that what you believe ("2 politically equal nations") was all in his dreams!

Turkish Cypriots walk out of Ledra Palace meeting
As opposed to GCs who just don't turn up when they want to spit their dummies out, like over the recent GC pilgrims being refused entry to TRNC fiasco.

The spitting of the dummy is when you attend something just so you can say…

“I’m walking out so there!” Image

…but I don’t know what you’re talking about! :?

What I'm talking about was when Comrade X refused to go to a scheduled meeting with Talat because a load of God Botherers weren't allowed to cross the border a few months back. I don't remember the exact details, but that's only becuase I couldn't give a fuck. :D
I do take your point but I think both sides are as bad as each other when it comes to stuff like this.

I cannot find find an authoritative explanation of "political equality" in the warped apartheid context you are using it in . Denktash was only interested in cementing division and apartheid. The only way to put equality and Denktash in the same sentence is to sat Denktash advocated the opposite of equality. I have to gargle thoroughly and brush my teeth when ever I say Denktash. You just can't get the after taste.

How and where did i use "the political equality" in a warped apartheid contextt? Can u clearly explain?

My "political equality" views is even more advanced than the UN one which would allow GC residents(citizens) of TC constituent state have exactly the same "political equality" TCs would have at federal level...Moreover, I'm the only TC who proposed rotating mayorship of TC constituent state...

Now please explain to me how i used it in a warped apartheid context...

In 1990 a major development was an initiative by the Secretary-General to provide a more elaborate definition of the concept of bi-zonality in his 8 March 1990 report to the Council. In it he also raised the concept of political equality. (The report was subsequently endorsed by the Council in resolution 716 of 11 October 1991.) It said:

“The political equality of the two communities in and the bi-communal nature of the federation need to be acknowledged. While political equality does not mean equal numerical participation in all federal government branches and administration, it should be reflected inter alia in various ways: in the requirement that the federal constitution of the State of Cyprus be approved or amended with the concurrence of both communities; in the effective participation of both communities in all organs and decisions of the federal Government in safeguards to ensure that the federal Government will not be empowered to adopt any measures against the interests of one community; and in the equality and identical powers and functions of the two federated States.” “The bi-zonality of the federation should be clearly brought out by the fact that each federated State will be administered by one community which will be firmly guaranteed a clear majority of the population and of the land ownership in its area.” (S/21183, Annex I)
