How the hell do you know about the British home? You are a Cypriot. This is just a perfect opportunity for you to slate the British.

That's such a stupid comment and begging to have a thousand recent articles of teenage pregnancies, binge drinking, school stabbings etc etc ... but I really can't be bothered as I'm bombarded with it constantly and even volunteered to help combat some of it, but it's too far gone. Poor Britannia .... :(

Watch the news and see all the bad doings going on in the world, bad I know and if i could change it I would, I do for sure blame the parents no two ways about it.
However I do have a soft spot for my country even if i disagree with how its run and how certain things are managed.

This topic is not a comparison of UK home life to home life in any other country, it is a discussion of home life in the UK. Hence the state of home life in Cyprus or anywhere else is completely irrelevant to the discussion (Ignoratio elenchi).

In fact, Oracle made no comment whatsoever about home life in Cyprus - perhaps she doesn't know. If you want to refute her, try presenting arguments about how home life in the UK is just fine. The argument about home life in the UK as compared with Cyprus is an entirely different matter, perhaps you would like to start a new topic on it? Also, don't take it personally if her description about how kids are raised by their parents in the UK describes your own parenting style a little too accurately.

james!! i dont do bossy okay.
you have just basically told me what i can and cant say, or have you just told me what to say? wtf.
I made a comment regarding the topic of uk crime, i made a comment on uk parenting, please care to read the above.
also i had mentioned i have a soft spot for my own country therefore please respect that.
i hear what she says and sometimes it makes sence and come across with some truth, but we have had this topic raised so many times and its tedious.
i make comments re cyprus experiences and thought redarding the people and the country on the whole and i get slated prob by people who also have a soft spot for their own country.
