I think Paphitis is onto a good thing here. By repairing one desecrated grave amongst many is not a waste of time in my view, despite all the argument some have stated against it on this thread. Just because there are millions of starving kids in the world who go to bed hungry each night, does not mean we shouldn't feed that one kid we can help directly. Just because there are weeds growing in a neglected cemetery, does not mean a rose bush can't also be planted to grow and stand tall above all the weed to catch the attention of others who may also plant more rose bushes to alter the state of that desecrated cemetery. By restoring one grave site in a cemetery of destruction through bigotry and hate can be very inspiring for others to follow suit and even if no other changes occur at the cemetery once this grave is restored, it does not mean it was a wasted effort. So I applaud Paphitis for his intentions of doing something good for his fellow citizen in Cyprus and also applaud all those who are willing to lend him a hand to succeed in his quest through donations.!

I agree. Right a wrong, no matter how small, wherever and whenever you encounter it.

But, let's just wait for the family's personal wishes first; for to them, the real symbolism may lie in the broken island analogy ...

I just want to say that Piratis and ADMIN have also pledged their support.

I thank you both, and your support is greatly appreciated.

I also wish to say that this initiative is not mine and so I don't want to receive any praise for it. This symbolic gesture belongs to all those that are behind it! Thank you all so much.

No Pressure then. I am afraid, anything Bafidobullo comes up with and I mean even if it was to save my life or one of my children's life I am afraid I cannot contribute on account that he is an absolute bastard. Especially if Oracle, Kickapoo, Sotos and Piratis is involved. Otherwise I would go to hell, and I don't even believe in god.
Stop concerning yourselves with the dead and graves and I would start worrying about the living if I was you?
Miltiades Please don't take this wrong, If I offended you I am sorry. But the attitude of some people on this forum is sickening.

I'd have thought 35 years under Turkish rule would have loosened them up a bit by now.

I am sitting on the fence until things become more concrete. The family must be consulted as to their wishes first, and I do not think we should be making grand plans until this is done. Otherwise, I would like to chip in and, if I am free at the time, even help with some of the work on site.
