Sinbad its a fact even in the UK that students whilst studying will get menial jobs, bar work, waiters etc as employers know they have to study and will move on eventually so Cyprus is no different in that.
But jobs here are harder to find and pay little compared to UK/USA but the much higher cost of living in those countries outwieghs the salaries, my kids worked when they attended Uni,s in the UK as they wanted extra money, all of them did bar work and supermarket stacking and at the time were extremely glad of it. Pay was just the minimum wage and they had to wait a month for the first pay packet. Life teaches you to manage as best you can and probably that education and more education will always make sure in your future that you won,t ever have low wages again.
One is now a Lawyer, one a Psychiatric nurse in Education, one a History teacher in London, the oldest an accounts manager for Rolls Royce in Derby. Worry less about what you do now and concentrate more on the end result and do what ever jobs you can get imho. I,m a Mum I know these things
One thing is though you should be allowed to work as its a necessity if you live away from home in another country. If thats not possible don,t go if you cannot afford to live without working.
Don,t worry about the childish answers you have had on here thankfully we are not all the same
