How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

A catastrophic error which they might never recover from. They have no-one to blame but themselves.

It's very strange how isolation is applied by the roc and yet she has no responsibility for it what so ever. She ain't done nothin wrong nowhere no how. Yeah right.
Usual claptrap, blame the victim. But I do have one question. Assuming that this trend continues and the TCs get wiped out, who will blame then?
History will judge roc and it will not be kind. What goes around comes around, eventually.

Did you see how the fat fucking lying bastard got the idea for his phrase "GCs using TCs as target practice"?

Do you see now how the fat fucking lying bastard's warped mind works?

Apply that same principle, that same piece of present day evidence, to ALL the other warped stories he tells you, and then you may start to unravel the truth!

Some things never change ....

He is my penfriend, Oracle. I won't apologize for that.

Well, tell me who is being used for target practice here ...

As I said Expat .... nothing has changed. What the Turk-TCs are doing to us, to this day, they have ALWAYS done and now they try and cover up and distort the past with counterfeit stories and pleas of innocence! Nothing has changed.

The Turk-TCs have been oppressing the GCs for hundreds of years and they continue, unchanged, to this day!

Yes, I see your 'martyr'. Better to say that he was cold-bloodedly shot without warning than the fact that he charged across the buffer zone, ignoring warnings to stop, then - while being egged on by his 'pals' - he starts to climb the pole with the intention of tearing down the TRNC flag whist ignoring more warnings to desist or he would be fired upon. A dead hero is far better than a dead idiot, isn't it?

I am going to say this for the last time: I do not agree with him being shot and killed! But I also do not agree with his violation of the cease-fire line either. An incident was provoked, and he paid for it with his life. A stupid waste any way you look at it.

Yes, the person who shot this man should be tried. It was excessive force, and it should not be condoned. But accessories to the crime should be charged also: the people who egged him on. Given that there was a liklihood of weapons being used (after all, the stereotype of the Turkish Forces by your side is that of trigger-happy barbarians), that was a distinct possibility.

Expat

The events the Greek Cypriots are emotively pointing out to you in this thread are actually true; I have no axe to grind with either side. Though I may live in South Cyprus my wife and Step Daughter are Turkic; my Son in Law is a Greek Cypriot and my lovely Granddaughter is an Anglo Cypriot ; rather a mixed bunch.
You are relating what you have been told; they are relating what they have experienced and that is the difference. I respect the views of Bir, Zan, YFred and Deniz as I respect the views of Oracle, Bananiot, Nikitas and Piratus as they have lived through something you or I have no experience of. You quote Rauf Denktash who is the arch nemesis of the Greek Cypriots as they believe he and his TMT friends brought the island to where it is today. You say he puts some good points across in your correspondence though no doubt if you where corresponding with Hitler he would put forward some very persuasive arguments as well.
The real culprits in all this I’m ashamed to say are the British; the divide and rule tactics of playing one community off against the other, split the island in two and Nationalist Groups seeing an opportunity took advantage of the situation and Mr Denktash was the leader of one of these Groups.

No, you mouthpiece of the devil incarnate. He was "egged" on by the emotions from seeing his cousin, another unarmed protester, battered, kicked, stoned and bludgeoned to death by the friends of your friend!
