They've started already...

If cigarette smoking was so bad they’d all be dropping like flies!
Tell me one good thing about it
Smokers enjoy it...
...and you benefit from huge tax revenues...
Sorry, that is two things.
I am not a smoker so please, again, tell me what is good about it?
Why are you ONLY trying to please NON SMOKERS? Doesn't that slightly contradict what you said earlier?
Also, please find me a chart or something which outlines the cost of society of smoking (smoking related diseases) vs tax benefits.
Which part of the huge tax revenues did you miss...?
Where am I only trying to please non-smokers? I don't smoke but don't believe in this undemocratic ban... because it will lead to others...
Smokers enjoy it....................well I am not a smoker. So please tell me why it is good ? (for smokers and non smokers)

How about freedom of choice?
My choice is that I wish to lead a healthy life
And you are happy that others lose their freedom of choice to please you?
Even if as a result you will give up other freedoms?
Yes.
Good!
Because when you can't eat what you want, drink what you want or travel where you want (that nasty polluting car will have to go) you'll at least be able to say that you don't have to share the pub with smokers!
Oh, except there won't be any pubs...
There will always be pubs/restaurants!
Of course there will... I'm sure none are closing due to the ban!
See Toffee - he didn't even read it!
Some will close and some will open. I personally prefer to eat in restaurants anyway and not traditional pubs.
Of course...
All is well...
All is well yes
Until they stop you drinking in there, or perhaps limit you to one glass...
...and the menu is altered to reduce your fat and salt intake so your favourite dish is removed...
...and you have to take the bus - you're car is far too polluting...
Decisions made because you decided to renounce your freedom to choose if you remember?
That's absolutely fine with me. If they think the meal is too fatty I will try something else, no problem. Something more healthier and less likely to damage my insides is good with me.
If they limit me to one drink, that's fine. If they say get the bus then I will just goto my take-away and supermarket to pick up the food and drink I want.
Smokers need to deal with it.
But you won't be able to buy booze at the supermarket!
Or fatty food!
You gave up those rights remember?
You decided to let the unelected make decisions about everything you can and can't do - just like they've done with smokers.
Do you see now?
Sorry yes, I will then find somewhere else to buy my booze from. I will have to adjust

Don't you see Z4? Open your eyes for goodness sake!
That is what the smokers said!
If you'd have said to a smoker just five years ago, "Christmas 2009 you won't be able to drink inside a pub in the UK" they wouldn't have believed you...
If you'd have told them that they were thinking of banning it in pretty much all open spaces they'd have said "There are always ways around it "...
Well there isn't...
FragnaticDeath wrote:Get Real as i said most of you smokers are EGOs and only think about yourselves. You have been smoking for so long and your fine it doesn't prove that everybody system reacts the same way to those chemicals. You might be a few of those lucky person who do survive with smoking. But SATISTICS actually prove smoking is cancerous. And if you don't accept it then let your children smoke from age 10. Theres no problem with it. And i would like to see in a few more years your heart attack problem will start to kick in. Anyhow you know better cause you do know how your system works.
Get Real do you even know anything about those chemicals? I hardly think so..
Now with alcohol. ALCOHOL is forbiden while your driving. You will get arrested and charged with a penalty fee
AND how can you compare food intake with smoking! for the love of GOD are you people so blinded with your desire for smoking? THE BANNING IS ALL ABOUT PUBLIC HEALTH!And when they ask you, want you for christmas dont even say health&peace for the whole world cause it just makes you hypocrits.
Hey I am not going to sit in the pub cause I cant smoke, well m8 you can take a 5 minute break outside and smoke no harm done, come back in and enjoy the rest of your lovely time. OR buy an electronic cigarette and smoke it inside, and if nothing pleases you go kill yourself cause you cant live without smoking.
But I do agree if they ban it outside in public roads and in your own private house then thats fucked up.
