Gordon Keeble, test drove one back in the 60s. It was a bit like a Jensen and frightened me to death so now I drive a Citreon Berlingo, brilliant diesel engine and never less than 52 mpg.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon-Keeble

No, it was the final, Anniversary model - the most powerful version; black with white uphosltery. If I can find the time, I will scan a picture and post it. Yes, reversing would have been difficult, so I never bothered! There was a guard over the gear lever gate to prevent accidently selecting reverse - so I felt if they went to that much trouble to prevent you using it, I wouldn't upset them!
From the 'snowy' picture you will see I owned it before I moved to Cyprus.
But it was not the fastest car I ever owned! But now a man with a red flag walks in front of me when I drive - and I can't always keep up with him.

You’re a very lucky person to have experienced such a fine piece of engineering!
Svetlana wrote:Well the engine was wonderful - a true work of (Italian) art - but the electrics... and the the useless a/c..and a replacement rear wheel €2000!
Now the only lamborghini I have is my oil fired boiler!
I will try to scan some pictures tomorrow of some of my cars. I loved fast cars and good looking lovers - or was it the other way round?

Heavy steering, two legs needed to press the clutch - the controls were just too heavy - I should have listened to the salesman!
I have owned many sports cars, now I drive like a little old lady on her way to collect her pension
Oh dear, oh dear Lana...
Fragnatic breath will be along in a minute to attack you for being 'an arrogant prick'....
Or perhaps that is just me...
..and I own the fastest laptop on the block LOL! Quad processor, 1,000 GB HDD, 18" HD Screen, Blu-ray etc. etc. Clearly, I have been going wrong all my life...is there no hope for me
And yes, it did cost more than €1000!

A dream-car for me... super smooth supercharged V8, seats for five plus luggage, comfortable, easy to drive, all mod cons - sat nav, climate control, etc.
But put the auto box in 'Sport' mode and it was out of this world. turn the traction control off in the wet and it was a killer...
I thought my Mitsubishi 3000GT was the best car in the world until I got behind the wheel of the XJR...
So, Frag, which supercars have you owned...?

Used to have a Spitfire.. (loved it), TR6.. (loved that too ) and a rather tweeked Morgan +8 (Loved showing the boy racers what a real car should sound and go like )...
My favorite super car is...
