I was referring to an even earlier time ...

But yes, the city states (independent and sovereign), of what we now know as the Hellenic world, did in fact do battles with each other.

You are wrong to conclude from this that they were not of the same stock.

Ever heard of the Peloponnesian wars? Ever heard of the battles between Thebes and Athens? etc

Power wars between Greek city states in around 400-300 BC have nothing to do with Greek invasion of Cyprus in 1400 BC...

Moreover, eteo-Cypriots and Phonecian merchant colonists neither have anything athnically do with Greeks.

The limits of your knowledge are obvious when you have to connect different time periods. Events didn't happen in discrete "packages, on-off switches between one era and another. You just cannot comprehend how all-pervasive our long history on this island, and the surrounding areas, has been, oh newbie! Look how long it is taking to completely switch off the Ottoman presence ... but it is happening! :D

BTW Your last sentence is nonsense.

Why is it nonsense? What ethnic ties did the Greeks have with eteo-Cypriots and Phoenecian merchant colonists who were inhabiting in Cyprus as aboriginals when the Achean Greeks invaded Cyprus?

Integrate!

I said something realistic ,Oracle...
To integrate you need a liberal society which will accept you as equals...We were considered little more than pests who stood in the way of Enosis with Greece by the great majority of GCs back then...When and how could we integrate???

Seems like you need too much BirKibrisli. How abnormal do you think the TCs are?

Integration is about proving you are capable of fitting in as an equal amongst the well-established indigenous population.

Perhaps some innate superiority prevented the TCs from integrating? Certainly that is what we witness today ... and some things never change.

Or, are you saying today's Cyprus is also "illiberal" that despite a few hundred thousand other nationalities now living and working in Cyrus as equals, the TCs are so super-special they prefer segregation?

Stop pretending you are thick.,Oracle...You are many things but thick you ain't...I am talking about the late 40s onwards, when the GCs were trying their best to unite Cyprus with a foreign power...Have you heard of ENOSIS??? Do you think those heady days of the EOKA and the civil war which followed(63-74) were conductive to TC integration??? Which society were the TCs supposed to interate with??? The one trying to unite with Greece? The one that was opposing it and being murdered by the EOKA???The one which ignored our very existence and seemed happy to let the TCs perish in our little rat hole enclaves??? Please try to engage your brain before opening your mouth...You are not helping things here...Nobody would want to integrate with the mindset you represent NOW,let alone with the one back THEN...

Yes.

Integrate.

It means integrating with the majority of the island ... whatever their flavour!

Or, are you trying to be thick!

What do you expect us to do? become Turks so that you are happy to "integrate" with us? We are what we are. If you wanted harmony, you should have integrated or left! Perfectly acceptable everywhere else.

I think Oracle is using "integration" when a more accurate word would be "assimilation"...

Actually a better one would be osmosis. A semi permeable membrane doesn't just let anyone in.

Noooooooo, maths was never her strong point. She is confusing integration with differentiation.

DT, selectively permeable is the term used nowadays for cell membranes.

P.S. Have you seen Tornaritis's declaration on the march of the fascists today. I must say, NEDISI's declaration was also brilliant. At least I hope you agree with them on this one and refrain from finding excuses for them.

And no one can accuse you, now, of being "thick" since you didn't even try to answer the above; knowing it would expose your taciturn racist segregationist agenda.
