I was referring to an even earlier time ...
But yes, the city states (independent and sovereign), of what we now know as the Hellenic world, did in fact do battles with each other.
You are wrong to conclude from this that they were not of the same stock.
Ever heard of the Peloponnesian wars? Ever heard of the battles between Thebes and Athens? etc
Power wars between Greek city states in around 400-300 BC have nothing to do with Greek invasion of Cyprus in 1400 BC...
Moreover, eteo-Cypriots and Phonecian merchant colonists neither have anything athnically do with Greeks.
The limits of your knowledge are obvious when you have to connect different time periods. Events didn't happen in discrete "packages, on-off switches between one era and another. You just cannot comprehend how all-pervasive our long history on this island, and the surrounding areas, has been, oh newbie! Look how long it is taking to completely switch off the Ottoman presence ... but it is happening!
BTW Your last sentence is nonsense.
