Isn't it time the forum moderators acted on comments like this? I can't think of another site where such statements can pass without the perpetrator being banned. Come on guys. Show some courage. There must be limits even on a Cyprus forum.

The above comment pales in comparison to some things he's tried to pass off as fact. For instance, he once posted a photo of decapitated bodies (probably Armenians) and claimed the atrocities were carried out by GCs in 1974, even though the photos looked turn of the century and he had no links to them. He also suggested that GCs eat TC babies ...

Forum Administrators can at times let decent forumers down by allowing certain 'unsuitable expressions' on the forum. Perhaps it is the 'decent folks' fault that this continues. Because we cite 'freedom of expression' etc.

There should be some self discipline/self moderation in this matter, but alas, we are human after all.

But I agree, too much crap around.

We have (some of us) learnt not to speak evil of the dead, but for some anything goes.

Well OK there will be outrageous views around and as long as they are not an incitement, our Milti shows a way a dealing with them by equally free expression.

If people find the views of others regretable, they should jump in and correct, condemn, ridicule etc. these views.

Its my opinion I viewed him as a TC hater and someone who contributed to the troubles of 1960s, you GCs have expressed much stronger and abusive views about Denktaş so arent you all being somewhat hypocritical, the man imo died as scum and will always be so to many TCs, the decreation of his grave can also be deemed sweet jutice for all the hate and agony he caused many TCs.

If he was a TC hater, then so is the whole world. Because what he hated was the betrayal of human rights which you subscribe to.

Here we have a person who views desecration of graves as a form of justice. Totally unashamed and proud of it. This is perhaps why churches, ancient monuments and cemetries in the north of Cyprus have been looted and desecrated. Because they are Greek, they are a reminder of who the land truly belongs to.

At the moment we don't know who committed this stupid act of vandalism on Papadopoulos' grave. Greek or Turk I condemn it. But we do know who continues to desecrate northern Cyprus and we also have an insight into the mentality of those who do it. Viewpoint, you are what you claim to be. No-one can say you are anything other than a true barbarian.
